Is there a lesson to be learned here? The kitchen staff volunteering to feed the Zuccotti Park protestors have been providing – for free – top-quality meals to OWS protestors and outsiders who are not officially part of the unofficial movement. Kitchen staff no like.
My guess is they wouldn’t be happy if I stopped by for a free lunch of organic chicken, vegetables and sheep’s-milk-cheese salad either. From the New York Post.
The Occupy Wall Street volunteer kitchen staff launched a “counter” revolution yesterday — because they’re angry about working 18-hour days to provide food for “professional homeless” people and ex-cons masquerading as protesters.
The point is not that they are homeless or ex-cons. I’m guessing the kitchen staff is no longer willing to serve high-quality meals to people who are not down for the struggle and contributing in some way to the movement. In other words, protest like you mean it or you should leave.
To show they mean business, the kitchen staff refused to serve any food for two hours yesterday in order to meet with organizers to air their grievances, sources said.
It looks like the organizers have refused to lock out the homeless and ex-cons. But they came up with a solution. EVERYONE SUFFERS.
For three days beginning tomorrow, the cooks will serve only brown rice and other spartan grub instead of the usual menu of organic chicken and vegetables, spaghetti bolognese, and roasted beet and sheep’s-milk-cheese salad.
They will also provide directions to local soup kitchens for the vagrants, criminals and other freeloaders who have been descending on Zuccotti Park in increasing numbers every day.
You can’t have any of our free stuff, go elsewhere. We’ll give you a map.
Some protesters threatened that the high-end meals could be cut off completely if the vagrants and criminals don’t disperse.
Unhappiness with their unwelcome guests was apparent throughout the day.
“We need to limit the amount of food we’re putting out” to curb the influx of derelicts, said Rafael Moreno, a kitchen volunteer.
A security volunteer added that the cooks felt “overworked and underappreciated.”
Many of those being fed “are professional homeless people. They know what they’re doing,” said the guard at the food-storage area.
I think there is a lesson or analogy somewhere in this story … I just can’t seem to put a finger on it.
I guess some Occupiers are more 99% than other Occupiers.
Maybe I could help the guy out. You people don’t like have done to you what you are doing to us. Now you know how we feel. Could there be a lesson in there for ya?

Anybody who thinks they can "control" and outmaneuver Bums who have been living on New York's streets for years, is living in a dreamland. The Bums will continue to gather around the OWS goofballs like flies on poo-poo.
In London they checked - 90% of the tents were empty at night. All tents were identical too - makes me think money and organization are behind this --- as if we needed more proof...
The Tea Party needs to help the bums... here’s some sign ideas:

Not sure about NYC but homeless shelters in Indy have rules: no booze, no drugs, most give you a dose of that old time religion also.
So if you can get restaurant quality grub with no restrictions, the crowd will follow.
Funny how these people have a kitchen staff, newsletter, warehouse space courtesy of the teachers union, they even have a PR firm, BUT they're a "grassroots" movement while the Tea Party is "astroturf".
Another hint they’re lying.
They also have a “security” problem—not only the stolen iPads etc. but frightened women who are leaving the encampment because of undesirable behavior by the ex-cons and other social misfits. And there is a “no-snitch” rule.
People think they’re helping by taking videos showing the young women dancing to the drums, and the sympathetic media are doing the same. Why should any self-respecting male stay in a shelter or park? Chicken and chicks!
How can you not be part of a movement that is all inclusive?
What happened to “to each according to his needs?” Criminals and vagrants have needs. These selfish people should be sharing.
