Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was sternly rebuked by the US Justice Department for allowing ethnic bias to influence his efforts to crack down on illegal immigrants from Mexico.
“Instead of using our preferred methods for randomizing the enforcement presence, Arpaio has consistently focused his attention on persons of obvious Mexican heritage,” Assistant US Attorney General Thomas Perez charged. “His methods are completely ineffective against illegal entry by persons from Europe or Asia—leaving both Arizona and the nation vulnerable to incursions from these sources.”
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced that her Department would join with the Department of Justice to block the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office’s access to any federal criminal databases—including fingerprints and DNA. “It’s not as if he hasn’t had fair warning,” Napolitano claimed. “The model for random enforcement has been repeatedly demonstrated by our TSA. Despite considerable public criticism and political pressure we have refused to narrow our search for Islamic terrorists by using ethnic criteria.” Arpaio labeled the sanctions “foolish and politically motivated.
Arizona doesn’t border Europe or Asia. It borders Mexico. Anyone with any sense can see that the overwhelming source of illegal entry is from Mexico. Focusing on illegals coming from Mexico is far more pertinent and cost-effective than pursuing some fantasy of ‘balanced’ or randomized enforcement.”
“Blocking our access to federal databases will force us to release dangerous criminal suspects that we might otherwise have been able to identify,” Arpaio complained. “This endangers public safety and is particularly bad for the Latino communities where these Mexican criminals are apt to hide and commit their crimes.”
Napolitano acknowledged that cutting off access to federal databases could pose problems for local law enforcement, but insisted that these could be easily resolved by getting rid of Arpaio. “If Arpaio were to resign or be voted out in a recall election we could quickly restore Maricopa County’s access to our national criminal files,” Napolitano promised.

This looks to be a personal vendetta on Joe, who’s Hispanic himself. And how does the Obamaforce know for so doggone sure that Joe would not cede his post to someone with similar philosophies to his own?
I wonder if there are enough Chinese illegales in Phoenix for it to be even worth Joe bringing on a Chinese detective.

Sheriff Joe can deputize people and should do so, then see what happens when the dept of JustUs and Homo security finds themselves looking down the barrels of thousands of deputized citizens.

My old, basic training Sarge in the US Army would frequently instruct us recruits on the very best way to not be stuck on stupid. The Justice Department has become both an embarrassment and an obvious political wing of the Obama White House; targeted persecutions - Arpaio and the Governor of Arizona, among many others, while major scandals like Solyndra and the other “green” companies heavily subsidized by taxpayer (OUR) handouts that are owned by major Obama contributors get a complete pass. Gone are the days of Edward Levi, Eliot Richardson, Griffin Bell - all the “independent” AGs the press used to lathe with praise, with some justification. Now the lapdog “press” (another wing of the Obama White House) sees nothing to criticize whatsover in the Holder Justice Department and instead highlights the great political prosecutions they are undertaking.
Sheriff Joe should be returning the favor. Deny any federal officer access to his county.

The farther along Joe Arapaio’s investigation into Obama’s Bona Fides goes the more he will come under fire.
Unlike Trumps lie that he was investigating, I believe Joe really is, and what he is finding is not good for Obama.
For what earthly reason would a Department of our Government deny a County Sherriff access to criminal records.
If someone Joe arrests has a criminal record it would be the same as aiding and abetting or hiding a criminal from legal action.The Fedral Government would be guilty of being an accessory. If someone Joe arrested gets turned loose and kills someone Napalitano should be charged with that murder.
I believe Joe has Obama scared. Be careful Joe and don’t go to any parks alone.

So what they are saying is that Sheriff Joe has to act like the jack boots at TSA in the airports if he wants to go after illegals. He has to treat everyone like an illegal alien if he wants to go after illegals in his county.
Does he have to treat all the people in his county as equally suspected murderers if he wants to arrest anyone for murder, too?
He said his investigation into Obama’s constitutional qualification won’t be ready until February. He should move it up.
