Obama just said in a live speech (9:18 AM EST) at a Prayer Breakfast that he wants to raise taxes on the rich because his Christian values tell him to personally give more to those less fortunate by raising his own taxes, just as Jesus would do. Not kidding.... now he just called federal welfare 'charity'... and just accused those of opposing tax increases as 'not having Jesus love of others in their hearts'

Did Jesus really ask the Romans to raise taxes on the Jews and Samaritans to pay for the fish, bread and wine for the early Christians for economic fairness?? I read the Bible a few times but missed that part, "The Book of Krugman" ?

Yet when God (Jesus) imposed a census tax on the Jews in the desert he specifically said it would be the exact same for the rich and the poor - one half sheckle. Futher the rate of the tithe was the same for the rich and the poor: 10%. Finally, when discussing the duties of judges he maintained that the poor should not be favored over the rich because of their poverty nor should the rich be favored because of their wealth. Obama just proves he’s never read the bible every time he addresses the subject.

Compelled giving is not charity. Charity only glorifies G_d when it's given willingly and especially when it's given sacrificially - i.e. at a level that hurts. The focus of charity is actually on the soul of the giver and not the recipient. Obama uses scripture as a tool. We'll all answer, but I'd rather be me than him when we return to the dust. He'll probably have his reward here, though.

He used that activity exclusively and successfully to gain followers.

Socialism is the ideology that we must all live at the expense of everyone else. In order to do this, the wealth of all is presumed to belong to government so it may distribute as it sees fit. This is institutionalized coveting and theft. It easily violates the Ten Commandments in so many ways. The sad thing is so many Christians think this is “social justice.” But “social justice” is an attempt to bring about a godless Utopia.

Socialism also institutionalizes lies. The first one being that we will be better off through socialism than through the free market.

Previous attempts at bringing Utopia in the 20th century cost over 100 million lives.

It is not much consolation, but i am seeing a lot of negatives on him and the petite beautiful Michelle, I mean that classy wife of Barack’s who does push ups on national television.
I mean how classy can you get. At any rate, people are mad about her vacations.
