This is meant to be for the fun of it, but you can really vote on this too.
There has been a lot of smoke being blown up our collective behind about birth control the assault on religious freedom. Unlike my first poll, this one isn't really a slam dunk...Rush is legitimately on the block here considering (I believe) he only apologized to stop the hypocritical attacks on his show from the left.
For those interested, vote here...
The most guilty is Obama and Sebelius.
The Government has no business telling any religious organisation that they must go against their beliefs.
Statements have been made that 90% of Catholics use some form of Birth Control.Even if that is true it has nothing to do with the actual teachings of the Church.
It’s like saying that 90% of catholice curse and use the name of God in vain. Just because they do it does not make it right. It is still considered a sin by the Church and goes against the Church’s teachings.
The Government cannot give Catholics the right to curse and the government has no right to subsidise the sin of murder of ones infant by abortion, abortificents or Birth Control pills.
Obama and Sebelius have over stepped their bounds, they have violated their oath to observe the limitations of the Constitution and both should be impeached and removed.
What I wish Rush had said in his apology is this:
I apologize to sluts everywhere for calling Sandra Fluke a slut. By doing so I confused a lot of people, implying that Sandra Fluke is a capitalist whore, someone who trades sex for money in a transaction between two consenting adults. Sandra Fluke is something far worse: a Socialist Whore. A Socialist Whore is one who charges the rest of us a fee whenever she has sex... and also demands that huge new federal bureaucracies be created to support her sexual proclivities.
Socialist Whores are far, far more expensive that Capitalist Whores, and Capitalist Whores only charge their customers, not the rest of us.
I apologized to Capitalist Whores everywhere for mistakenly implying that Sandra Fluke, a Socialist Whore, is one of you. She’s not. She’s something far more pernicious, far more slutty.
Sebelius, Obama, Pelosi, et. al.
The Catholic Church is merely trying to preserve religious freedom. That’s what it’s about ... not “a woman’s right to reproductive health.” They have that right. It does not need to be free.
I disagree and I am personally very insulted by this whole argument. The entire argument of everyone on the right for the last month has been that this is about religious freedom. So, fascism is perfectly fine, so long as it doesn't burden your religious belief?
The government has no business telling ANYONE that they must buy health insurance and NO BUSINESS telling insurance companies what they MUST cover. I want health insurance that does NOT pay for condoms and sex change operations because I want LOWER premiums. I want to live in a FREE FLUKING COUNTRY not a country of freeloading flukers!
We don’t really disagree you just go farther on this particular point than I did.
The system we have now is overburdened with people who do not work and use the Emergency rooms as their Doctor.
They do not buy health insurance because they don’t bother to get a job and they know they get seen free at the emergency room.
The system Obama wants us to go to will make most Doctors find another job or work out of their homes, and will leave us with the dregs of the medical profession and sitting in a clinic somewhere waiting to be seen.
