Attorney General Explains His Opposition to Voter ID Laws
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 17 March 2012 | John Semmens

Posted on 03/17/2012 12:05:31 PM PDT by John Semmens

Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder continued his battle to prevent states from requiring voters to show photo identification before they are permitted to cast ballots.

That the US Supreme Court has already held that voter ID laws are Constitutional makes no difference says the AG. “I don’t need some court to tell me what’s right and what’s wrong,” Holder exclaimed. “It’s something everyone who’s grown up Black just knows by instinct.”

Holder made short shrift of arguments based on the ubiquity of requests to show photo IDs in order to buy beer, enter a public building, rent a movie, board a plane, open a bank account, or check into a motel. “None of those activities are fundamental to the functioning of our democracy,” Holder argued. “The possibility that someone might be denied the privilege of partaking in them is not a threat to our way of life.”

“Voting, on the other hand, is an essential right,” Holder continued. “It is not contingent upon a requirement that voters must identify themselves. Voters may have valid reasons for not wanting to be identified. Maybe there are warrants out. Maybe he’s behind in child support payments. Maybe he lacks documentation of his citizenship. None of these deficiencies cancel a person’s human right to vote for who will rule over him. So, I cannot standby and allow any state or any court to infringe upon anyone’s right to vote.”

In other words, it prevents Dems from committing voter fraud to win elections.

Eric Holder badly needs to be put in prison, and his IDIOT thinking needs to be shouted down on every public system of communication.

Eric Holder was deputy under Janet Reno — Mrs. Shake ‘n Bake. That’s all I need to know about this corrupt head of the Department of Injustice.

Yes.

The worst part is that OB and Holder are not some stupid dupes; they are doing this on purpose.

They have no intention of following the rule of law when their socialist agenda and their need to right past wrongs, which have already been addressed, allow them to justify their racism.

This needs to be shouted consistently and made one of the top campaign issues. Removing Obama, removes Holder.

I don’t need to be ruled over as long as you follow the laws. The laws are in place to prevent a-holes like holder from just making rules up as he goes along. This guy needs to be fired ASAP. But the dumb republicans will just let comments like this go till we are ruled by a dictator like o’dumby. What the heck is wrong with the media and the repubs when things like this are not shouted out as anti freedom. Things like this only go to show we are not free anymore.

Because blacks don't live in houses, buy or drive cars, have checking acounts, go to the doctor, sign up their kids for little league, etc.

Will someone tell block-head Holder than in states such as Georgia where Voter ID law is in force, black voter participation has increased?

"Voters may have valid reasons for not wanting to be identified. Maybe there are warrants out. Maybe he’s behind in child support payments. Maybe he lacks documentation of his citizenship."

Holder is a frigging moron!

An eligible voter is registered, thus is particularly identified, and presumably qualified. The person who shows up and claims to be the eligible voter at the poll is at question. Holder, you moronic jerk.

You did get me. I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised that Holder does indeed hold the opinion supposedly satirized above.

Now what was the point of this? It's too close to the truth to be funny.

I wish he’d explain why photo I.D.s are required to buy smokes and beer. As long as EVERYONE has to show an I.D., Eric the Holder doesn’t have a case. The only excuse he has is that requiring a photo I.D. makes it harder for the DemocRATS to commit voter fraud and steal elections.

Until-or unless the criminal Eric Holder can come up with a reasonable explanation for the deaths that occurred on his watch related to Fast and furious—Until he can offer some Rational explanation for his refusal to allow investigation into Voter Fraud committed by his buddies in the Black Panther Party -including voter intimidation— He has no more credibility than the Community Organizer who is NOT qualified for the Office for #1 Holder’s bunk buddy the 0 is NOT a Natural born citizen —and has made manifest 0 allegiance to our Country and our way of life.much less our Constitution.
When Holder can fabricate some reasonable explanation for any of this I might think he has some possible credible explanation for his opposition to voter ID.
