Michelle Obama--America's Marie Antoinette--has $1.5 million budget just for staff SALARIES

As our government is buying 7 million tons of ammonia laced pink slime to serve our beloved school children, a credit card receipt which, allegedly, Michelle Obama signed right before the 2008 election for a $450 room service snack is just showing up.

She ordered 2 whole steamed lobsters costing $100; 2 lobster hors d’oeuvres at $50 and one serving of delicate Iranian Osetra caviar at $150 and washed down her snack in her suite #29m, allegedly at NY’s Waldorf-Astoria on Park Ave. with one Bollinger Champagne service costing $44 to bring her total bill to $447.39 after paying a $68 service charge and $34.59 in NY taxes.

Word coming out of a Canadian press outlet is revealing American taxpayers are shelling out a staggering total of $1,591,200 annually for the First Lady’s 22 member personal staff.

She has deputy assistants to the President and Policy and Projects, a press corps, and deputies for chief of staff social secretaries and associate directors of scheduling, traveling aides, and correspondence people who help full time directors of these divisions.

This figure doesn’t include her make-up artist or "First Hairstylist" who rode with her aboard Air Force One on one trip to Europe.

“There has NEVER been anyone in the White House at any time that has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady’s social life,” reports the Canada Free Press.

Now we all have read of vacations in Hawaii, Spain, Aspen, right after Hawaii, Martha’s Vineyard, and a semisecret trip to the state of Washington to visit with her brother who is a coach out there.

Allegedly, her two daughters were listed as senior staff aides on flight manifests on that jaunt.

Word coming out of a military web site is...

All those people are useless. You can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear. All that money wasted to feed a pampered slob.

This is what she and that crank she’s married to have wanted from the start, the perks, and they waste no time using them.

The American children eat pink slime while this moneymonger eats lobster. Go figure!

I detest these two grifters.

The receipt is an old story but the lack of taste in champagne is not.

Who TF drinks Bollinger with Osetra? You have to drink something wonderful like Moet Chandon, Vueve Cliquot, Perrier-Jouet or any other pink Brut.

Bollinger is for Memosas or champagne ice. blech .....

Heard recently at the Barry Soreto Elementary School Let’s Move Dance Part hosted by the first lady:

“Let them eat cake, I mean let them eat carrots and other tasty vegetables! And if they refuse then off with their heads, I mean they can’t have any cookies.” :-(

I'd like to see some comparisons to the numbers of staff, and the amounts they cost, of previous First Ladies (including Mrs. Clinton) with dollar amounts adjusted so that it's a real today's dollar comparison.

I think we all have the feeling that this is ridiculous, but I'd like to see an actual comparison.

I don't begrudge her the folks who are supposed to keep her hair looking good and keep her dressed well, though they have often failed spectacularly in Mrs. Obama's case. One of the "duties" of the First Lady is to show up and look nice on certain occasions. I suspect that Mrs. Obama wears what she wants no matter what anyone else says, so don't really blame her wardrobe disasters on her staff.

It's all the staff that makes it appear that she has a "real job" that I think is excessive.

Even with all that staff, she's been almost as big a failure as First Lady as her husband has been as President.

Comparing Michelle Obama to Marie Antoinette is unfair to Marie Antoinette.

No denying it, she is a PIG!

Marie Antoinette was a devoted family woman beloved by the people of France.

Her reputation was destroyed by what functioned as the MSM of the day. She never said, “Let them eat cake.”

The night before her death at the hands of a mob, she wrote a heartbreaking letter in jail begging for the safety of her little boy and reaffirming her faith in God.

(This is all documented in Ann Coulter’s newest book, “Demonic.”)

The French Revolution was a time of unfathomable evil, engineered by the “progressives” of the day who were hell-bent on destroying — wait, I mean “transforming” — every single bulwark of civilization.

And after the old order has been swept away, who’s going to run things? Why, the progressives, of course. They are willing to sacrifice to control every aspect of our lives. And ride around in a jet.

It’s for our own good. Because they went to Harvard and Princeton and such.

This administration certainly has been quite extravagant. The lobster/room service thing, though, is a hoax from 2008. It came from a PUMA type who later retracted it.

Michelle Obama can perhaps be criticized for many things such as her extravagant travel, but the credit card receipt in question was shown to be fake back in 2008. In fact the New York Post issued a public apology about it.

Over $1.5 million a year to help her look good and she still looks like she could harelip the governor with her mean-faced visage.

Of course, the FLOTUS is supposed to look good and all that , she needs a staff and that's fine. It's the lavish vacations, the separate flights from her husband, going to the same place. The separate security, staff, jet etc, that's what should have people ticked off. Then with the lavish lifestyle, preaching to the rest of us about how fat & lazy we all are.

Absolutely right. We can see the same parallels today only now the revolutionaries are destroying the government from within. As Glen Beck used to say , we're gearing up for another revolution, but it won't be an American revolution, this time it will be a French revolution.

Yup, and it certainly doesn't help this article's credibility to start with that old hoax.

I suspect that even aside from the excesses you mention, which most everyone (except the media)has noticed, her White House expenses and staff are far in excess of what other recent First Ladies have had and spent, even Mrs. Clinton. That's why I'd like to see a comparison made of those numbers.

For that matter, it would be interesting to see how spending on dinners and entertainment in the White House stacks up against other administrations, both formal, official functions and private ones. I don't doubt that the spending is pretty free there, too.

I'm old enough to remember the scandal the press tried to make out of Nancy Reagan's new White House china, yet nothing Mrs. Obama does or spends seems to cause anyone to turn a hair. Interesting.

According to this report from 2008, Laura Bush had 18 staffers in 2008 with a total salary of ~$1.4 million.

I would like to see what the norm is for former first ladies before I get too upset on this one.

Guessing there is always a large number there.
