A New York Times article has revealed that Administration-related news reported by the national press corps must first be approved for publication by Barack Hussein Obama.
Times contributor Jeremy Peters has revealed that, in exchange for access to White House officials, reporters must promise the Administration full authority to exclude, redact or edit any and all statements made by those officials. This provides Obama with veto power over information printed by a purportedly free and vigilant, American media. (1)
Certainly, Jeremy Peters must be congratulated for bringing this information to the American public. But the way in which he presents this despicable story of media manipulation is perhaps even more revealing than the story itself. For according to Peters, members of the press corps have been...

Whew!! Thank God the Constitution guarantees us Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the press!!
Emperor Obama may not, but the Constitution doe . . . . . . . er, used to. :-(
Well, they are letting it all hang out aren’t they?
In other news, studies show that water is indeed wet.....
I went back to the original NY Times article this is about & apparently the Romney campaign does the same thing.
A reporter who lets his subject edit his article is no longer a reporter, whether on the left or right. Whoever hired them ought to fire them!
So, the MSM will find the practice acceptable when the GOP takes over? Maybe it should be continued whether they like it or not.

No surprise here. That’s what dictators do. Just look at Germany, Russia, China, etc, etc, etc, etc.
Sarah Palin.
ho-lee crup!
and they AGREE to this????
The VP’s remarks will not be tweeted
Vice President Joe Biden will take questions from reporters on a White House press call today, and as has been the case in the past, the on-the-record conversation will be embargoed until the end of the call.
The curious caveat — who would write an article during the middle of the call? — is a product of the post-Twitter presidential campaign, barring reporters from the beloved habit of tweeting remarks in real-time.
But it begs the question: If it’s going to be in an article 20 minutes later, why can’t it be on Twitter right now?
From White House deputy press secretary Josh Earnest, via email: “The embargo will allow journalists to hear the entirety of the Vice Presidents remarks and get the benefit of having their questions answered — before trying to condense a 30-minute conference call about a 20-page NEC report into a 140 characters.”
How apt that Rush labels them the “Government/Media Complex.”

Look, his Excellency set up the white house media machine where they release info to the press. His Excellency has had how many press conferences in the past year...zero probably because it would be evident he was using a teleprompter.
Anyone who thinks what they read in the press or see on TV coming from the MSM and most of the cable shows is actually what was said is dumber then dirt. The “press” secretary, more akin to a pravada spokesman, was asked a few deep questions by Ed Henry of FOX about a month ago. Have not heard of any since from Ed who may either be absent or he is now tied to his seat after having had tongue removal.
Gotta like a NYeT reporter giving the public finger to Pinch.
Isn’t this exactly the deal CNN made with Saddam Hussein? The Founders are rolling over in their graves, as we give up one right after another to The First Dictator.
