In case you missed it...

Ladies and gentlemen, my dad -- my dad respected Barack Obama -- would have respected Barack Obama had he been around...

He corrected himself very quickly. I would give him a pass on this one as just a slip of the lip.

I thought dead voters made up 50% of the voting roll Democrats in US.

At some point one just becomes numb. I am not “undecided” no hope for those folks, but Biden saying a funny? this is news? Do folks here remember potatoe? which is the way I spell it, guess I’m an idjit., But do you remember the hullabaloo about that.

Biden frequently breaks out of the space/time continuum. My favorite is when he described President Roosevelt going on TV in ‘29 to calm the masses. He's quite the story teller, if you're 8.

Agreed.

However, Biden did slur some words and dropped the last syllables of other words.

It made me wonder, over all, if it was age or if Biden had taken some liquid fortification before stepping onto the stage.

Heh. I'd say he occasionally enters it, literally.

I wouldn’t make too much of this it may remind people of Romney saying he saw his father march with Martin Luther King.

Biden was one of the few Democrats to actually compliment Romney. Said he was a successful businessman, and did not fault him for that. He even went as far to say that Romney was a nice guy. It almost reminded me of McCain doing that to obama. So yes, I instantly thought he was drunk.

However, he perpetuated the Tina Fey lie about Sarah Palin last night. I always heard ignorant liberals, maybe around the office or in forums use that one. I believe it was the first time I heard a highly rank elected Democratic member use it.

That would be different, but that was not the quote referred to in the original post.

Boy do I ever remember how poor Dan Quayle was hammered by the liberal media for “potatoe”, or was it “tomatoe”? Dan Quayle was a good man, one who had worked for everything he had, (his father was a wealthy man, but who had not left his fortune to his kids - thought they developed character by making their own fortune. - Dan had saved the Patriot Missile program singlehandedly, which came in handy when Saddam Hussein was lobbing scud missiles in on Israelis during the first Gulf War. Dan got the same sort of raw deal that Sarah Palin got by the “intelligentsia”.
