Where in the hell are the Romney TV ads?
Self | 10/2/12 | Me

Where in the hell are the Romney television ads? Good ones, bad ones, any? Everyday, I see multiple, obnoxious Obama ads go unchecked on national stations; blatant lies and distortions that actually have half of America believing they are better off under a man who is largely responsible for their misery and poverty! Obama is the one who must be made to answer for four years of historic failure and radicalism, not Mitt Romney. I’m fully aware of the so-called swing state strategy, but sometimes when a candidate and party are so obsessed with a handful of contests, they miss the big picture; the heartbeat of America. It is a war of hearts and minds - not monotone drivel - that is only won with unflinching perspective and cutthroat common sense! After all, the MSM sure as hell isn’t going to do us any favors!

--A dilapidated, dingy room is filled with sitting media correspondents wearing gray uniforms; only an Obama symbol, atop of their notepads resting upon their locked knees, gleams with color. The hypnotized journalists are transfixed upon a giant, flickering, black and white screen; the words “Forward” and “Obey” routinely interchange with an Obama symbol marking each “O”. Obama’s face, stoic and ominous, fades to the foreground.

Obama: America…is better off than it was four years ago. An Obama symbol, slowly transposing over the stars of the American flag, begins to block out images of the poor and homeless, business closings, as well as scenes of urban blight and violence.

Obama: You…(intermittent images of our forefathers, the Industrial Revolution, and our flag raised at Iwo Jima, appear)…did not build this!

The pictures quickly burn away until Obama’s face resurfaces.

Obama: I…will not fail!

The menacing image of Obama begins to distort and flicker as bright, colorful graphs of unemployment, national debt, food stamp usage, gas prices, and home foreclosures emerge in secession.

Obama: (incensed) Forward!

The graphs repeat at frightening pace – casting shows on the faces of the now disturbed media – until the screen goes blank and the room pitch black.

Orwellian Voice: (echoing) During a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.

(Silence)

A blinking prompt materializes at the bottom of the screen. The stunned reporters turn to one another, before looking back to the front. The words “Attempting To Reload Constitution” appear before the blinking prompt.

Bedroom --

A teenage boy clicks off the TV with the remote. After hesitating in brief reflection, he opens a history book to a chapter entitled, “The Constitution: The Greatest Document Ever Conceived”.

Reading: “We the people, in order to form a more perfect union…”

A bookmark with an Obama symbol tumbles to the floor.

It’s silly to let those ridiculous ads go unchecked. These aren’t just political ads, they are blatant lies. Romney needs to at least confront them and be on the ball. Having no presence, discernable message, makes such statements appear truthful in the minds of far too many voters.

He needs to take a page out of Allen West’s playbook. His ads use unflinching perspective and cutthroat common sense.

I saw a report today that West is behind and that was very upsetting. I’m afraid he’s going to lose and that is awful.

Appears to me that you have read your share of Huxley, Orwell and Bradbury with maybe a bit of early Vonnegut.

Or maybe it’s just me. Regardless. I like your script!

It’s brief, direct and just might reach some of the on the brink younger people who have yet to succumb to the entitlement society.

Alas, it would never be produced. Too, mmm, “confrontational”.

This was, however, the same ad tactic that Apple used to launch its brand oh those so many years ago. Gee, how did that work out?

Anyway, good work!

we agree. I, too, am getting worried...since there are only a few weeks left....

he has the facts, truth on his side, he has the capability of campaigning vigorously, and he has the funds to do it.

I have been assuming he is targeting his money and ads in places like Ohio and Pennsylvania?

There was a liberal Democratic operative (I think a former aide to Carter>>>???) who recently said that the mass media is turning into an enemy of America ... for its one-sided coverage ... the man was right, methinks. The hourly news always, always features BHO and only mentions Romney as an aside, also it almost always features BHO’s own voice whereas Romney almost never gets his voice on the news. This is mental conditioning on a mass scale. Romney needs to come out and make speeches or hold events in such a manner that the mass media is forced to cover, feature same.

Romney won’t need to run an ad in a Red State only swing States. Alaska isn’t one of them!!!

Thanks so much. I’d be lying if I didn’t read a few of those men! lol I wish we would use ads that just cut right to the heart of the matter instead on conceding Obama and his fellow radicals actually have some redeemable qualities. You have to pin every lie and failure to their chest with a burning stake!

Absolutely, the media 100% guilty of negligence. They have always been biased but this is utterly ridiculous. We have the worst economy since the Great Depression and they rarely mention it...in fact, they spin bad economic data into some sort of positive for Obama and even spread his gross lies. Meanwhile, the nail Romney everyday with imaginary stories. It’s insane. They’re suppose to question the status quo, be the watchdog of the republic, not the propaganda wing of the government. They are willing to help a radical failure, even if it costs us our country, rather than speak the truth and protect the people. We can no longer co-exist under this system...something has to change!

“I would be pretty pissed if Romney was running ads in Hawaii. It’s a waste of money.”

Agree with that. Not one ad seen here on the Big Island. On the other hand we do have an excellent chance to have Repub. Senator elected this time to replace an old fossil Democrap....Akaka. Linda Lingle is a moderate and her tv ads tear Mazie Hirono a new hole. Lindle is backed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

You seem to think that every ad that you see on a program plays all over the country. That is not true.

It is possible that in the very slot you see an Obama ad, someone in another location sees a Romney ad. I live in Alabama but in the Mobile/Pensacola tv market and I have not noticed a lot of ads for either candidate. Then again I do not watch much tv other than sports and certain cable shows.

Here is a tidbit of an e-mail I got today from the Romney campaign (I’m on their e-mail list) about where a fair amount of the money is going, which might help explain what they are up to:

“Thanks to supporters like you, we’ve built a record-breaking ground operation. Indeed, a nationwide network of 73,000 hardworking volunteers has helped us reach 26 million voters and identify over 2 million swing voters.

That means we’ve made 6 times more phone calls and knocked on 16 times more doors than we did during the entire 2008 campaign. That’s pretty incredible.

Your donation bolsters our pivotal ground game, which is essential for a win. It will also help us ramp up our Absentee Ballot and Early Vote Turnout programs and support our Election Day efforts overall.”

One good TV ad is better than a thousand of bad TV ads.

Here is a Political TV ad the Romney campaign can use.

Ominous music in the back ground.

TV Ad title ( Tired of excuses, the runaround and the shell game )

Pictures of the Benghazi attacks and news reports.

A TV Ad voice that says:

" After the US Embassy attacks in Egypt and Benghazi Libya the official word from the Obama Administration was that it was caused by:

" Spontaneous reaction " to the Innocents of Islam film in which the Muslim world took offense to.

TV Ad voice ?

" Are we to take their word for it that it was a " Spontaneous reaction " ?

When ?

Prior to these 9/11/2012 attacks in Benghazi Libya there were other Islamic attacks going on in Benghazi Libya back to May of 2012.

TV Ad voice : " So Obama administration ? where are the other films that the Muslims took offense to justify these other attacks ? "

TV Ad voice " The American people are tired of excuses and the run around .... who's playing the shell game here ? "

TV Ad voice : ( Vote for Mitt Romney : where America's security and Freedom is not a shell game where you get the run around ).

I live in the southern half of Virginia. I haven`t seen/heard a Romney campaign TV/radio ad in at least four weeks. Meanwhile, Obama ads are everywhere. I don`t know what Romney`s strategy is for Virginia.. he`s losing here by as many as 8 points. If he wants to win this state..and he must..he`d better start an ad blitz, and soon.

I`m getting the feeling the R/R campaign is hurting a lot more financially than it`s letting on. It`s reminiscent of McCain in 2008, when by October, he was out of $$$ and Obama dominated the airwaves.

Lame stream media probably increased the price to run his ads over their worshiped Odumbo. Hopefully the Romney people are preparing for a final push but when you have 6-8 to 1 Liberal versus conservative news channels, getting your word out is a bit difficult
