Russian Military Intel Tells Kremlin Obama Fired Military Officers Because He 'Fears a Coup'
Reaganite Republican ^ | 21 November 2012 | Reaganite Republican

Posted on 11/21/2012 5:23:06 AM PST by Reaganite Republican

According to (shadowy anonymous blogger) Sorcha Faal the Russian military's GRU foreign intelligence unit presented a report to Kremlin leadership late last month that said Obama removed one of the United States Navy’s most powerful admirals from his command (in the wake of Benghazi 9/11) specifically because he fears a military coup is being planned against him.

On 9/11/2012, that officer -Rear Admiral Charles M. Gaouette, commander of Carrier Strike Group Three in the Middle East- apparently felt obligated to come to the aid of besieged US defenses at the Benghazi consulate, violating an utterly bewildering White House command he probably had a hard time believing was even being made. Gaouette was said to be attempting to help AFRICOM commander General Carter Ham, also purged by Obama for violating of an obstinate White House insistence to 'stand down'.
Ham considered himself bound-by-duty to take action, but the story goes that his second-in-command -a likely Obammunist- promptly stepped-right-up and informed him he'd just been 'relieved of his command', effective immediately- General Ham was then physically apprehended/arrested.

Subsequently -and despite Navy claims that he was NOT 'replaced' due to Benghazi- Admiral Gaouette was otherwise inexplicably removed as Carrier Strike Group commander on October 27th...
Faal:

US news reports on Obama’s unprecedented firing of a powerful US Navy Commander during wartime state that Admiral Gaouette’s removal was for 'allegations of inappropriate leadership judgment' that arose during the strike group’s deployment to the Middle East.

This GRU report, however, states that Admiral Gaouette’s firing by President Obama was due to this strike force commander disobeying orders when he ordered his forces on 11 September to 'assist and provide intelligence for' American military forces ordered into action by US Army General Carter Ham, who was then the commander of the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), against terrorist forces attacking the American Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

General Ham had been in command of the initial 2011 US-NATO military intervention in Libya who, like Admiral Gaouette, was fired by Obama.

And as we can, in part, read from US military insider accounts of this growing internal conflict between the White House and US Military leaders:

'The information I heard today was that General [Carter] Ham as head of AFRICOM received the same e-mails the White House received requesting help/support as the attack was taking place. General Ham immediately had a rapid response unit ready and communicated to the Pentagon that he had a unit ready.

General Ham then received the order to stand down.
His response was 'screw it', he was going to help anyhow.

Within 30 seconds to a minute after making the move to respond, his second in command apprehended General Ham and told him that he was now relieved of his command...'

OBEY or perish

Of course, the MSM press just parroted the dubious Administration line that Gaouette was removed from his post
(in mid-deployment, which is
Moon-rock rare) because of an 'ongoing investigation' into 'inappropriate leadership judgement'- say what?

In addition, Gen. Joseph Dunford -the Marine Corps' 2nd in command- is also suddenly 'stepping down'... maybe he too had a problem with just standing there while some Medieval savages rape and kill our ambassador and burn a US consulate to the ground.

I clicked over to Wikipedia to see what the left-leaning 'reference' site had to say about all this, yet even they can only come up with the most foggy, vague explanation.

Intentional obfuscation...? Keeping this one opaque only helps Barack Obama...

Many believe this was a forced retirement due to General Ham speaking out of turn about the brewing Benghazi attack fiasco of September 11, 2012.

A Navy Admiral, Rear Admiral Charles M. Gaouette, was also apparently involved in this confusing event as he was relieved of duty "until the matter is resolved."

Others caught-up in the recent Obama power-consolidation-and-truth-burying purge because they know too much (re. Benghazigate) -like Hillary Clinton and Gen David Petraeus-
are gone or on their way out as well.

Hey, Kim Jong Un is up to the same sort of 'purge' thing lately too- maybe Obama can ring him up and chat about purging, basketball, exchange tips on interrogation/guillotine techniques, etc.

But if you ask me, the idea of a coup plot sounds really kind of far-fetched- maybe it's all just in Dear Leader's (stoned) head, narcissists are known to be very, very paranoid.

Oh I think this situation stinks and almost certainly involves Obama hanging Americans out to die and then running an incompetent coverup. Obama is also doing
everything he can to weaken our military defenses, including systems, people and traditions.

I just think we need to be careful not to overstate the known facts. Making charges of a military coup is a very dangerous charge and you’d better be right. It will spread further distrust of the military among those who make up Obama’s base. It will also lead to distraction from what we know happened, the deaths of four Americans and a significant loss of Americas honor because Obama failed.

We’re in a knockdown war with street thugs, and we get no scoring points for sicking to the Queensbury Rules while our enemies are landing low blows and throwing sand in our faces.

What if the American military assigns personnel to accompany targeted officers and their families should the Obama civilians harass or even attempt to arrest any of them? And the confrontation leads to violence or even a shootout?

Been in and closely associated with the US military for over 30 yrs. Yes, I believe those parties used to happen, as they did in civilian country-club society, but they don’t now. Yes, many upper-ranking military officers make moral accomodations, but not all of them. (Way too many, however.) I don’t believe there is an active-duty military coup in the making. This is a military smear article by a slime merchant who’s been waiting to crawl out of her hole. I think Petreus has been a dirt-bag from the beginning, and his policies BS. There are still many honorable military personnel who have sacrificed everything to serve their country and this article is pure BS.

Obama to Nominate Rodriguez as Next Africa Command Chief

By Jim Garamone
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, Oct. 18, 2012 – President Barack Obama intends to nominate Army Gen. David M. Rodriguez to succeed Army Gen. Carter F. Ham as the commander of U.S. Africa Command, Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta said here today.

U.S. Africa Command is the newest combatant command, and its headquarters is in Stuttgart, Germany. The command encompasses all of Africa and its adjacent waters except for Egypt.

The Senate must confirm Rodriguez, who currently is commander of U.S. Army Forces Command at Fort Bragg, N.C.

“He has served in a variety of key leadership roles on the battlefield,” Panetta said in announcing the president’s plans to nominate Rodriguez. He was the first commander of the International Security Assistance Force Joint Command, the corps-level command in Afghanistan. He was the commander during the surge into Afghanistan, “and was a key architect of the successful campaign plan that we are now implementing,” Panetta said.

Ham has served as the Africa Command chief since March 2011. “Under his leadership, Africom has played a very central role in some very important missions,” the secretary said. “From the NATO campaign in Libya that led to the fall of Gadhafi to successful counterterrorism efforts in Somalia [and] Yemen to efforts we are now involved in in Nigeria and Mali and elsewhere, General Ham has really brought Africom into a very pivotal role in that challenging region.”

The nation is “deeply grateful for his outstanding service,” he said.

Panetta also announced that the president plans to nominate Lt. Gen. John M. Paxton Jr. to receive his fourth star and serve as the next assistant commandant of the Marine Corps. He would succeed Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr., the preident’s choice to command coalition and U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Paxton is commander of Marine Corps Forces Command, Marine Fleet Force Atlantic and U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe. Paxton and Dunford also must be confirmed by the Senate.

Doesn’t say, but I read Gen. Ham is planning to retire in the spring of 2013.

Pentagon Has Full Confidence in Africom Commander, Little Says

By Army Sgt. 1st Class Tyrone C. Marshall Jr.
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, Oct. 31, 2012 – Defense Department leaders remain fully confident in the commander of U.S. Africa Command, Pentagon Press Secretary George Little told Pentagon reporters here today.

Little said Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta and Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, maintain complete faith in the job Army Gen. Carter F. Ham is doing as Africom’s leader.

“General Ham is doing an exceptional job leading Africa Command. He has the full confidence of the secretary of defense and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,” he said.

“His decision to retire has been an entirely personal decision to move on,” Little said. “People retire at certain stages of their career and that’s what’s happening in this case.”

President Barack Obama announced Oct. 18 his plans to nominate Army Gen. David M. Rodriguez to succeed Ham as leader of Africom, the newest combatant command, which is headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany. The command encompasses all of Africa and its adjacent waters except for Egypt.

The chairman dismissed alleged reasons for Ham’s departure in an Oct. 29 statement.

“The speculation that General Carter Ham is departing Africa Command due to events in Benghazi, Libya, on [Sept. 11,] 2012 is absolutely false,” Dempsey said in his statement. “General Ham’s departure is part of routine succession planning that has been ongoing since July. He continues to serve in Africom with my complete confidence.”

Little also dispelled rumors that Ham will step down from his position next year for any reason other than personal choice.

“There’s been a lot of rumor and speculation, particularly in the blogosphere, about General Ham,” he said. “And that speculation and those rumors are absolutely, categorically false.”

“He will continue to lead Africa Command,” he said, “and he is on the job, doing it effectively, and we expect him to do so until he retires and transitions to General Rodriguez — if General Rodriguez is confirmed by the United States Senate.”

The press secretary said he didn’t have a timeline for when Ham will step down and Rodriguez might assume command.

“A lot of it will depend on Senate action,” Little said. “We believe the hearings will take place in the next couple of months, and then we’ll decide when a change of command is appropriate.”

My husband was in the Air Force during Viet Nam. There was a news story several years ago about a general and whether he was lying. I do not recall the story but it’s not important. I remember I asked my husband if he thought generals lied. He said “of course they do, how do you think they get to be generals”? I admit I was shocked. I am naive about military things and I was actually sad that respected military leaders didn’t really deserve to be respected after all.

Yeh debunked by the Whitehouse and the MSM. All credible sources. Sarc.

Wasn’t it Stalin that got rid of all his upper echelon generals?

Now Barry has gotten rid of McKrystal, Petraeus, Ham, and the Naval Admiral. They are being replaced with lower echelon guys that Barry I mean Valerie Jarrett and George Soros can control.

He’s going to try to take over. Its not like the folks haven’t suspected this for 4 years. There is a reason the guns have been flying off the shelves.

Many military leaders deserve respect. Some deserve jail.

Generals are politicians first and foremost.
