I haven’t seen one “gun control” advocate talking about stiffer penalties for gun CRIME. It is as if they don’t have a beef with the criminals just law abiding citizens. Now why would that be?
Translation: "We need to discuss how we are banning them, and you're going to quietly comply."
It's just like how the Left "compromises". They get what they want, and the other side gets to STFU. See? It's a COMPROMISE.
Simply adopt the same laws Chicago has. We can gather even more valuable stats on how good unenforced laws work.

I think gun control is a wonderful idea. Anyone who commits criminal homicide with a gun should be put through an expedited trial process which takes two years from arrest through execution (or acquittal, if the accused is found not guilty). That should discourage criminals from killing people with guns.
When Bloomberg, Rahm Emanuel, and all the other mayors get rid of their armed bodyguards and 24 hour armed protection, I will consider entering a “conversation” with them about gun control and hypocrisy.
