All the time fellow gun owners say things to me like, “Seriously, Steve, how would they possibly gather up all the hundreds of millions of guns that are out there?”
Well my naïve friend, let me tell you how it works.
Step 1: Create an anti-gun culture and make guns and gun owners the bad guys at every turn:
On the evening news, every time a crime is reported, make sure there is a picture of a mean looking gun next to the chalk outline of a body. Portray hunters and sportsmen as backwoods unsophisticated hillbillies and rednecks. Feminize the society, especially the males. Create a culture where the police* are revered as heroes whose intentions can never be questioned. Demonize war and warriors. Label gun organizations “crazed lunatics” and “unreasonable extremists.” Make shooting restrictive by forcing participants to private ranges, then close the ranges by legal means citing reasons of safety, nuisance, environmental, or whatever possible.
Create terms like “assault weapon”, “high-powered sniper rifle”, “guns off the streets”, “weapons of war” when engaging in the gun debate making ordinary guns out to have extraordinary functions. Build on this disinformation by using movies, gaming, and entertainment that creates the falsehood that guns are capable of doing impossible things like firing hundreds of times without reloading or overheating or blowing up a car’s gas tank with the strike of a bullet.
Step 2: Build “security” systems that make the sheeple feel safe, giving them a false sense of security and overdependence on police and government authority while at the same time disarming them.
Establish gun free zones. Install security cameras everywhere. Place roving security cars with strobes in mall parking lots. Create neighborhood watch programs under the careful supervision of law enforcement insisting that no one be armed...

That's pretty naive of you. All that is required is 1 more conservative on the court to retire or die. Then Obama puts someone like Sotomayor on the court who believes the 2nd amendment applies to the National Guard and not the individual. The application of the 2nd is determined by who interprets the 2nd. Remember, there was a time when blacks were 3/5th of a person. In recent times, the court has found it constitutional to kill a baby.
They don't have to be correct in how they interpret the constitution...it becomes law none-the-less.

When about one out of three Americans owns a gun I would say they aren't making much headway on step #1. lol
I’ll bring scotch and more ammo than I can carry.
These plicks are forcing me buy stuff I don’t even want right now.
So he made a call, and said he'd give me a good price on 2 cases, and to come back next week to pick them up.
I never thought to ask how many were in a case, at the time.

That's where we are headed with the 2nd. The USSC will say it doesn't mean what the framers and 200 years of court decisions says it means...that all of that was wrong...and it's not unconstitutional for the federal government to seize weapons from citizens.
That's the point when EVERYONE (gun owner or not) will have to make a choice: Obey the "new" law of the land...or fight. I've already began to purge myself of liberal friends and family...because I know the day is coming for the choice to be made...and I would rather not have to "fight" someone I am close with. I would rather sever the relationship now...and thus not have any hesitations later.
The only thing ridiculous and false about it was to consider slaves as any kind of citizen. It is also false that it was a USSC decision. It was not.
5000 in a case of 22lr 2 cases hardly enough to sag a car.
I think my 2 chilhdren went through 20 thousands rounds or so from the time they were 12 to 18

Slavery was once the law of the land. If the scotus said slavery was legal again by 5/4, based on their new interpret ion of the 14A, do you think blacks would agree?
Scotus can claim the moon is made of cheese, will you agree with them?
How about if one or more supremes is blackmailed, such as a secretly gay one (Roberts) over Obamacare?
Are you saying that no matter what 5/9 supremes decide on any issue, we must obey?

Once we are disarmed, any future turn to tyranny will result in democide. Once disarmed, old greedy white bitter clingers can be rounded up and exterminated as easily as the disarmed Armenians, Kulaks, Jews etc.
Nope, I am not willing to trust in the eternal benevolence of future govts. I can read the 2A without help from 5/9 supremes. I will fight on this hill: any arms or ammo legal to own in 2012 will be legal to own by my own reading of the 2A forever.
If Congress and scotus say otherwise, then they will have to send armed goons to disarm me, the hard way. And I will consider those armed goons to be traitors, and will treat them as such.
