Senate Hearing on Benghazi Infuriates Boxer
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 25 Jan 2013 | John Semmens

Posted on 01/26/2013 12:49:56 AM PST by John Semmens

Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Calif) stormed out of the Senate Hearing into the deaths of the US Ambassador to Libya and others. The spark that ignited her fury was Senator Rand Paul's (R-Ken) questioning of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“Rather than let her retire from her post with dignity, Paul insists on poking around into performance issues that have no relevance at this late date,” Boxer complained. “Maybe Secretary Clinton should have taken a greater interest in security for the Ambassador and his staff, but as she so artfully asked, what difference does that make now? Isn't it just 'Monday morning quarterbacking?' I mean, she's already accepted full responsibility, does she have to accept blame, as well?”

Boxer pointed out that “accepting responsibility is more than her husband did in that whole Monica Lewinski mess. If we can move on from that why can't we move on from this? Is there a sexist double standard at work?”

“I just can't get past how improper it is for a person of Paul's minimal qualifications to be challenging one of the best, if not the best, Secretaries of State in one of the best, if not the best, Administrations this country has ever seen,” Boxer marveled.

The California Senator said she was “somewhat comforted by the widespread media agreement that none of the Republicans has the requisite standing and stature to question this great woman.”

Remember the Democraps standard of Accountability to Trent Lott? He made a comment at a private Birthday Party: "If Senator Thurmond had been elected President when he sought that office, he probably would have been a good president."

For that comment, the Democraps forced him to resign as Senate Majority Leader because his comment was a racist remark!

Now we have a Secretary of State that has taken responsibility for the Bengazi fiasco and when anyone seeks a modicum of Accountability, Boxer gets her shorts in a wad for the questioning of her relative by marriage. THE FACT IS: photo TRUST4_zpsd5f22995.jpg

. . . I don’t want tri-care messed with. My point is you can’t tell an uninformed voter a damn thing.

I don't want TRICARE messed with either, but looks like the prime is going away after Sep of this year. We really like the way it makes thing easy. I warned several misinformed voters about him getting reelected too, but they didn't listen. They still believe Sarah Palin said "I can see Russia from my house".

Which is why it's such excellent satire, IMO. I say leave it off. The comments are far better when the label is missing!

This one obviously touches a nerve John. That they would conduct themselves so callously and with such arrogance is deeply offensive. That it looks like they will literally get away with murder is outrageous.

Couldn’t you have painted a picture that included someone spilling water on the hildebeast and she starting to melt?

How about questioning performance issues on Senate democrats, like FAILING to pass a budget for the past 3 years as is legally required.

Rand Paul should introduce lega\islation that if the Chamber fails to meets it’s constitutional/legal duties the body should be deemed invalid and no pay/benefits forthcoming until remedied.

Excellent Satire again John. Thanks for the ping.

I’ve been going to your site when I can as I’ve been quite busy this Winter playin’ Reagan with my chainsaw, and knowing I was missing many of your works. Thanks for them all. Keep up the good work.

“How dare they question her. She’s Secretary of State. They are mere senators.”

So true. Hillary left her lowly Senate seat to take this lofty position, plus there have been far more Senators in U.S. history than SOS’s. The fact that Senators have to be elected statewide—no mean feat—and are responsible for approving the nomination of every SOS in history clearly are minor details that shouldn’t stand in the way of the conclusion that these uppity Senators don’t even deserve to shine her shoes (or is it jackboots?).

I know Sarah Palin didn’t say that, but even if she had it makes a lot more sense that the crap Hilary spewed at the hearings.
