There are two liberal rationales for gun control. The first is espoused by loony liberals like my sister-in-law...guns are intrinsically evil and if they were just banned there would be no gun crime, everyone would be safe and unicorns would be dancing in the streets. This is the same naive belief that if we just got rid of all nuclear weapons the world would be safe. What these starry eyed liberals ignore is that guns are not evil, but evil people who have guns and will have and use them despite any gun ban.

The second liberal rationale is more scary... they realize that an armed populous cannot be subjugated and to disarm the country will allow them to control everything. This is the rationale that exudes from the Obama White House. However they play off the naive anti gun liberals and use terms like gun safety to push their agenda.

I originally thought liberals were trying to gut the 2nd Amendment because they didn’t understand it.

But now I’m certain they DO understand the 2nd Amendment is NOT about hunting, target shooting, or even self-defense.

The 2nd Amendment is about the citizenry being armed to allow the dispatch of tyrants, dictators and criminals. This worries liberal democrats because they know they are all three of these.

They must destroy the 2nd Amendment before the 2nd Amendment destroys them.
