Scandalanche
Vanity ^ | 10 June 2013 | Windflier

Posted on 06/10/2013 8:55:46 PM PDT by Windflier

I've been seeing a lot of theories lately about the veritable avalanche of scandals dropping from the Obama administration. Some posit that the administration itself is leaking these blockbuster revelations in order to push more damaging scandals off the front page, and off the public's radar.

I'm not so sure, although poster txhurl offered one of the better theories I've seen, on another thread tonight.

He posits that Camp Hillary may be behind these leaks, as no one but her could benefit as much by getting the Benghazi scandal off the front pages, and off the public's radar.

Possible -- possible...but, let us not forget that some of what's coming out, casts a severely negative light on her tenure as SofS. Are we seeing an internal political war, using scandalous leaks as missiles? Perhaps, but I'm not convinced that's the case.

In my view, there's every possibility that it could have started that way, but it's spiraled out of control, and like a box of firecrackers going off one by one, it's taken on a life of its own. One points a finger at this one, who then causes a counter leak in retaliation, which injures a third and fourth party, who then fire their own fusillades of return fire, which then lights up a battery in a wholly different branch of government, which then causes all sorts of apparatchiks to run for cover while taking their files and hard drives as insurance against attack....ad infinitum.

In my view, the regime isn't leaking these damaging scandals on purpose. I believe we're witnessing the Great Unraveling....the wheels coming off the bus...the rats jumping ship....in short, a full blown meltdown of concentrated evil such as this country has never seen before.

It's the Scandalanche.

I think it’s nothing more than incompetence finally getting exposed.

I'm leaning that direction, too. Remember one of the original campaign issues, that Obama had very little government leadership experience? What was it--two years in the Senate? He had to rely on his experience as a "community organizer". So he surrounds himself with political insiders and buddies that smell a power vacuum and take advantage of it. The classic story of a boy king.

The obvious choice is that this is a Cloward-Piven strategy. He’s knocked the legs out from under everything we’ve ever believed in, or trusted.

And the American people are coming to the realization that it all happened on his watch, and that he is ultimately the source of that destruction.

In time, the vast majority of Americans will come to revile this man as no other in our history.

I think we on the right can be myopic. What we consider scandalous, the leftists do not.

Perhaps not the true leftists, but the useful idiots and Hopers are sure becoming downcast about all this.

He's fast losing the godlike aura that those supporters projected on him five years ago, as they see conditions in their own lives continuing to worsen, and scandal of historic stature coming out of his administration.

I know that pollsters have insisted that the public is universally pissed about what's going on, but that they're NOT attaching these events to Obama, but I think it's a crock. Every day, I'm seeing more and more libtards express real outrage and horror about what's going on in the Obama admin.

Cornered Rats can get vicious. Lots of folks might get bit and scratched and much worse. The fact remains, some major house-cleaning is long over-due in both parties.

Amen. I've got a wish list of Repukes I'd like to fire, starting with McCain and Graham.

I'm hoping there are some, at least a few patriots, left in the government.

You don't really even have to be particularly patriotic. All you have to be is a 10, 20, or 30 year CIA veteran who doesn't particularly like an incredibly inexperienced "community organizer" presuming to tell you how to do your job, and then blaming you when he (predictably) screws it all up.

Dear leader will NOT say we are in a war on terrorists, yet he[r] turns aroudn and exherts his war powers to spy on Americans

That is perhaps the most egregious and evil breach of the public trust we've seen so far. If the NSA and other gov't agencies were properly using these vast and omnipotent powers for the good of the country, there wouldn't have been a single domestic terror incident on Obama's watch.

It's as plain as the nose on your face, that their powers of intelligence gathering are MORE than sufficient to have stopped Maj. Hasan, the Tsarnaev brothers, and others, but they didn't.

Why? Because that's not who the regime defines as their enemies. Their enemies are you and I, and any American who believes in the words of the Pledge of Allegiance and the Constitution.

For Hillary, all this talk of prostitution and cover-up and other State Department improprieties will be “old news” when she declares herself a candidate.

Not if Valerie Jarrett has anything to say about it.

It's Waaar....!

Hildegarde won’t run against Obama in 2016, just as your RAT Congresscritters won’t run against him next year. They’ll all run against the Pubbies as always, and pretend that Obama never existed.

Hillary doesn’t benefit from these scandals. I’m a firm believer in partisan rules. It’s like sports. I’m a Dallas Cowboys, I even have to support my team in bad years. Hillary made a foolish decision. She helped Obama steal the election in Pennsylvania and Ohio, when she should have played it smart and let Romney get elected to the White House. None of these Obama scandals would have been exposed. But here’s a case of arrogance and vengeance spelling their own demise. I remember Democratic operatives gloating and telling me that Obama will be indestructible after his re-election. When I said I’m sure they’ll be some scandals they just laughed and said, “none of those scandals will stick.” These folks were already touting Hillary for prez in 2016. Next time, they won’t even be able to steal the election since Obama’s election stealing scandal will inevitably emerge too.

It may be a two-parter

That's kinda the theory I'm going with.

Deliberate return fire by those who feel they've been fired upon and thrown under the bus for political expediency by the regime -- which of course, instigates return fire and collateral damage, which then sets off more more mortar fire from adjacent camps, which then widens the fight even further...

Scandalanche.

First, I think “Scandalanche” is BRILLIANT. What a meme! Let’s all use that word as much as possible and get it into the popular lexicon.

As for someone, possibly Hillary, being behind this flurry of scandals, I’m not convinced. I think it’s more just human nature. The One has seemed untouchable for years — but now his facade is starting to crack. So suddenly it’s “acceptable” to come out with the truth, instead of keeping your mouth shut and saying “yassah” like everyone else.

Demoralization Destabilization Crisis Normalization. Sounds like it is in play.

I've been closely watching the board lately, and since the election, it appears to me that about a third of Freepers have quietly (and some not so quietly) chosen to bend their knee and accept the chains of their overlords.

On the other hand, go to a site like WSJ.com and read the comments after the various political threads. I'm telling you, all of this is having the reverse effect on most right leaning people in the country. People are on FIRE about the blatant, in-your-face treason of this administration.

And it's not just us conservatives who are mad. There are more and more Hope-ees that are just as done with this crew as we are.

What I am waiting for is yet another leak, that being there are firm plans in place to declare martial law. The "securing" of American cities will start shortly thereafter

If they're stupid enough to try it, it'll spell the end of the leftist overthrow of the Constitution and the American Way, and the beginning of the complete restoration of our country to its foundational moorings.

I know, which is why the vast apparatus of the NSA domestic data vacuum makes no sense to anyone who even casually examines it.

They didn't even have to connect the dots on the Tsarnaev brother's phone calls, emails, and Facebook postings. All they had to do was run on the tip they got from the Russians -- yet they did NOTHING.

Just like they did in Benghazi. They simply let good Americans die, because that's NOT their focus. The focus is on us.
