This failure of an option B has set the stage for Bohners end game, very much like what happened early this year with taxes.

Reid will pass his ‘bipartision’ bill using a procedure that only requires 50 votes but gutting a previously passed bill. That allows lots of GOP Senators cover to vote symbolically ‘no’ with no effect.
Then that Bill goes to house and Bohner puts it up for a vote and passes it with Pelosi Dems and a few Dems like Peter King, this will give lots of GOP house members plenty of cover to vote ‘no’ with no consequence.
That Senate Bill passes in the house as is Obama and signs it. Crisis ended. GOP gets pretty close to nothing. But Congress keeps their Obamacare subsidy and all those government employees who got furloughed get paid for that extra vacation. .
Lastly, no one challenges Bohner as Speaker just like in January. He keeps his job. None of them want it.
I almost forgot, Dems go into their Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrating their great victory over GOP and the Tea Party.

I’m sure my allegedly intelligent family members (just ask ‘em, they’ll tell you how smart they are and how stupid everyone is who disagrees with them) will be among the small but sizable group in the country who will wholeheartedly support the destruction of the Constitutional structure in favor of “paying our bills” (IOW, raising the amount that we owe in order to spend even more).

The only reason Bonehead hasn’t caved is because he feels the heat from the grassroots.
Last year Bonehead said “It’s the law of the land and it will be funded”... and that was during a re-election campaign. He feels more heat and pressure now than he did before an election.

You know I tuned into Levin today his first half hour, when I was driving home , and that sounds exactly what he was saying. To his point :
If Obama can get public pressure to make the GOP cave, which was pretty predictable its amazing how surprised Mark always acts over the obvious, that's not much of a constitutional crisis.

Maybe you are right. Maybe Reid is peeing in his pants and will pass a bill defunding Obamacare tomorrow and Obama sign it Thursday.
That would certainly kill the establishment GOP from any say the next few years,

Sounds like Reid can pass this next bill with only 51 so he needs no GOP votes(and a few seem to be working on it anyway) .
Then its up to Bohner to not to put it up for a vote.
