So. Is it safe to say that Boehner is spineless?

I’ve seen wusses cry their way into an early discharge from basic training. Miserable creatures.

Wonder if Cryin’ John wept while he worked?

I can see how No Backbone can be called a “bad back”

I agree on the merits that what the so-called GOP 'leadership' did to screw vets out of their COLA was reprehensible. But their military records or lack thereof are irrelevant to the discussion: our side should NEVER play the 'chickenhawk' card.

Making the 'his opinion is irrelevant because he never served' argument gives the Left cover whenever they try to kneecap the military conducting its mission. Case in point: Iraq.

I’ve had them sit in a chair across from me and sob “I miss my girlfriend.”

Successfully holding back my tears, I’d always just tell them that even the paperwork to get them out could not be finished until they’d been there about 9 weeks...a week AFTER they will have finished basic training. (True info...I didn’t lie.)

They’d sit there stunned. Most of them figured it out, but there were some that kept crying. I always figured they were hiding some kind of disorder that would eventually get them out anyway.

Makes me wonder now about John Boehner.

“So. Is it safe to say that Boehner is spineless?”

It isn’t that they are spineless. Its that they really think this is OK. And the Dems are eager to go along with it so a double win in their eyes. They are probably shocked that anybody is giving them blowback for it.

After all most of these people go on to get another job after they muster out of the service so if we cut their benefits what the heck? Nobody gets hurt right? Thats the BS Ryan was trying to feed Hugh Hewitt the other day. Hewitt said to Ryan words to the effect of if you are going to borrow an additional $89 billion to add to the military spending why not just borrow a measly $8 billion more and not cut the benefits? Ryan had no answer.

the 'his opinion is irrelevant because he never served' argument

Gotta disagree, basmaner. When the level of experience with the military is NIL, then any decisions against the military should be viewed with suspicion.

In this case, we know they simply threw veterans under the bus so they could spend more and still pursue their dreams of amnesty for illegals.

Their lack of experience was so complete that they had no idea how significant the sacrifice of experienced veterans guiding new soldiers is to making our military the best in the world AND keeping those new troops safe.

HONORABLE military service should be a prerequisite for President and, therefore, anyone in the presidential line of succession. Voters should give more weight to candidates with military service backgrounds. Only wishful thinking on my part, though. Many of America’s previous and current “leaders” would have been kept away from positions of power if the aforementioned requirement was in place.

isn’t it interesting feminazis and libtrads tell conservative men we can’t talk about abortion because we won’t have the getting pregnant experience yet when we say people who didn’t serve in the military should not be on military committees etc we are close-minded.
i agree military experience should be a prerequisite don’t forget george mcgovern was a B-24 pilot and lindsey grahamnesty and juan mcvain have military service.

Since our country has never had a MARINE serve as POTUS, I believe that the time has come for this to change.

I would LOVE to see Marine General JAMES MATTIS (ret) step up for the job.

God knows that we would be better off with someone like him wearing the title of Commander In Chief. I believe that our allies could start trusting us again while our enemies would rediscover their fear of us.

OooRah!

Other than John McCain and Weenie Graham then who does that leave for the GOP in 2016?
