That’s why it forces employers to withhold income every paycheck, so every April it seems like the IRS is giving us some $$$ for a good years work.

It discourages specialization. Instead of hiring people you do it yourself.
We should raise the import tariffs, which would help American industry revive. And we should lower individual and corporate taxes by an equal amount.
income tax is immoral
My grandfather, born in 1870 was a farmer, member of the Masonic Lodge and a Republican. He told me several times before he died in 1960 that the Income Tax was the worst law ever passed and went on to describe the trickery used to get it passed.
It has allowed most government agencies to be overstaffed with the result that they have the time and resources to get involved in many things that our Constitution’s framers never intended.
