There’s something very odd going on these days at the White House.
How else to explain the Bowe Bergdahl debacle? Team Obama, which games every move it makes to gauge the political leverage gained or lost, must have known the true story about the Army sergeant who his former comrades say was disgruntled with the war and simply walked away.
If the charge of desertion is true, why trade five top-level Taliban terrorists for him? Why would the White House expose itself to such easy criticism? Why would President Obama so clearly violate the law that requires him to notify Congress 30 days before any release of prisoners from Guantanamo Bay?
And why on earth would the president send National Security Adviser Susan Rice, she of the multiple lies on the Benghazi attack that left four Americans dead, to the Sunday talk shows to proclaim that Sgt. Bergdahl had “served the United States with honor and distinction”?
There can be only one answer: Mr. Obama saw more upside than down with the hostage-for-terrorists trade. Aside from changing the subject from the president’s latest scandal — the horrendous treatment of veterans at the nation’s VA hospitals — Mr. Obama must have concluded that the controversial move would, in the end, deliver him political leverage against Republicans, which he sorely needs going into what is expected to be a bloodbath for Democrats on Election Day 2014.
Of course, part of the calculation was that the U.S. media would once again defend Mr. Obama. And while some news outlets have run stories about the puzzling details behind Sgt. Bergdahl’s “capture,” others are adhering to the White House talking points....

He told us he was going to start acting without Congress more this year, and he is. Expect more surprises.
I’m wondering if this was merely a play to get the worst actors out of gitmo because he knew the impending backlash from trying to let these guys out when they close it down. Bowe was just cover, an excuse, basically. Wrap the hardest release in patriotism and duty eliminating Congressional Republicans biggest point against closure. These 5 represented the biggest hurdle and now they are out.
Obama is putting the dems between a barack and a hard place. It will be fun to watch them once they catch on.

We are kidding ourselves if we believe he is doing this out of stupidity.
This is a planned action, the real question is: Who are the planners?

Never confuse cunning with wisdom or intelligence. If you don’t know the difference between right and wrong, you’re stupid. The reason he “wins” every time is because the press and the so-called opposition are just as evil and stupid. They don’t know the difference between right and wrong either.
Never underestimate the ability of the Stupid Party to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The Obammunist didn't so much "win" two elections as the Republicans lost them...oh yeah, throw in a few million fraudulent votes and bam-o! There you are.

Obama is a very mentally ill, demented person. Even a broken clock is right twice a day, but Obama has done nothing right in six years. Not one thing. His every action is purposefully and intentionally immoral and designed to destroy our country.
I repeat-—he is doing this out of stupidity. A person who does not know the difference between right and wrong, who has no moral compass, is stupid. There’s no such thing as an “evil genius.” It’s a contradiction in terms. If you’re evil, you are definitely not a genius. A genius-—first and foremost—knows the difference between right and wrong.
Everything that Clown Prince does intentional. He is a hate crime.
obama’s anti-American motives are rooted in evil and malice, not stupidity. He hates what all FReepers love: a traditional, Christian America, and he consistently acts to destroy it. (Remember his spiritual leader, Rev. Wright: “God Damn America!”) People watch him commit acts that are contrary to the interests of the country he leads, are confused by this, and conclude he must be stupid or crazy. WRONG! He is acting deliberately.

Obummer is influenced by the dreams of his father. His father was a Kenyan communist who lived many years under British colonial rule. That is why Obummer hates United States to be a super power and is doing his best to bring the country down to a level where it has no power or influence in the world.

Stupid, because this endangers a LOT of innocent people.
However, his stupidity and foolish moves are NEVER going to be called out.
Grahams toothless "Well, NEXT time it will make us very angry, indeed!" is nothing more than a dare to Obama.
And WHEN Obama releases more, if not ALL GITMO prisoners, there will be gnashing of teeth by republicans, but nothing else.
Look for some off the charts loony pardons and releases come January 2017.

For some reason, democrats just don't "get" that these Taliban thugs are going to be coming for everyone, not just "republicans".
They will go for some soft target, like a major city, which in almost every case is loaded with liberal pukes.

I think this Administration feels that it has so much protection from the press and celebrities that they would always be above the law and scrutiny.
I don’t think they totally thought it through, but based on the press in the past he would figure he would not need to.
Meanwhile, how’s that spying on the press doing?
I believe he does this out of pure hatred for America and the arrogance his intellectual superiority is over bread and butter American's heads.
This whole event proves that he is trying to get us to start impeachment proceedings before the November election. He’ll use it to turn out his base. If this Bergdahl ploy doesn’t work, he’ll keep pushing it and flaunting it in everyone’s face. It’s so obvious what the little queen is trying to pull off here.
