Shocking photographs show how fire rescue officers chased the man trying to stop him from entering the inferno, but were unable to do so. He slipped through a safety perimeter and sprinted for the flames at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

You never know. A few decades ago, there was a news story about a guy that saw a park maintenance crew utilizing a wood chipper.
IIRC, witnesses said he started running towards the chipper, discarding his watch and wallet, and dove headlong into the machine.

When the recovered ‘victim’ or his family starts suing the organizers of Burning Man for allowing the free flow of drugs, that will be the beginning of the end for events like Burning Man. They may continue, but only after being tightly bound up in liability restrictions. Similar to how many school playgrounds have had all the fun things removed.
