Mostly just to make you post what you just posted. I'm important.

Maybe an ‘*’ or ‘sic’ in brackets, and a note at the bottom explaining your displeasure?

In this case it was referring to a specific president. Or is there more than one in office currently?

From the article:
Trump is also expected to back proposals that allow for the temporary removal of guns from those deemed a threat to themselves or others, backed by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and for the records of minors to be released after they become adults, pushed by former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah).
The proposal from Chaffetz makes a lot of sense. The proposal from linda, not so much. Supposedly it contains a section that prohibits gun removal with out a judge's okay. But the devil is in the details.
Lindsey
Graham
Ping!
Want on or off Linda's fav ping list? Just FReepmail me.
Remember that linda is up for reelection in 2020. Remember also that linda is writing a Red Flag bill.

The words,”President” and “barack obama” should never be uttered or written in the same sentence.

Assertion:
after a string of mass shootings this summer once again pushed the issue to the forefront in Washington. More correct assertion:
After a cluster of mass public killings was created by media contagion, in order to push the gun control agenda.

I got a feeling that people are not going to like the new extended background checks when they learn what they consist of. And I doubt that because their purpose will be to prevent people from purchasing firearms that few will few will pass, but we shall see.

I know, but for how many months did we hear “Mulehead poised to . . .” “Mulehead intends to . . .” and NONE of it was true.

What Trump is really considering is whether or not he wants to be President in 2020.
If he passes ANY additional gun control measure no matter how big or small he might as well drop the rallies because he won't be reelected. Take that to the bank.
Any gun control measure will lose an additional 2-3 million votes on top of the half a million or more he has already lost due to the bump stock ban. Save the whinning about how bad the alternative is, blah blah blah. Politics does NOT work that way. 2-3 million will stay home and we will have a commie dem in 2020, guaranteed.
At this point he better shut his trap about more gun control or he may lose the election whether he actually passes anything or not. He is losing votes just talking about this nonsense.

In this case it was referring to a specific president. Or is there more than one in office currently?Doesn't work that way.
The rules are clear. "The president laid out his proposals." "The proposals laid out by President Trump specified..." "According to Senator Cruz..." "The senator spoke yesterday with reporters."

"The president laid out his proposals."Is that not referring to a "specific" president or was your definition of grammatical terms incorrect?

2nd Amendment says you can ossess and carry arms, but it doesn’t say anything about right to buy them. Let’s amend the Constitution tomake sure that provision is included. Also right to give them and ship them without penalty across state borders.

Is that not referring to a "specific" president or was your definition of grammatical terms incorrect?Doesn't matter. "President" not followed by a specific name is a common noun and not capitalized.
I don't make the rules. I just follow them.
