When was the last time you got anything important in the daily mail delivery? Think about it for a minute. Oh, I get a couple of checks in the mail each month that I could easily convert to auto-deposit to my bank account if I invested 10 minutes of time. But otherwise, about 99% of what we get in the mail each day is trash: solicitations, catalogs we never open, and pounds of additional junk mail.
The simple truth about the Post Office is that is an anachronism: A relic of the past that could not compete 50 years ago and certainly cannot compete today. It is a bloated, dying business model run by not-very-bright bureaucrats in Washington.
It is into this dying business model that communist Democrats in the nations capital are currently holding up a deal on another stimulus bill so they can pour another $27 billion down the same old rathole that has sucked up hundreds of billions probably trillions over the years. And because President Trump and Mitch McConnell refuse to agree to that additional wasteful spending, the Democrats and their corrupt media toadies are pushing the narrative that the Republicans are engaging in voter suppression by trying to dismantle the post office.
VDO.AI You just could never make this stuff up, folks.
It was into this absurd bit of DC Swamp Kabuki theater that elderly, addled Creepy Uncle Quid Pro Handsy Farty China Joe Biden dipped a spindly toe yesterday, pushing a new conspiracy theory that only a communist Democrat could buy:
Yes, friends, the dementia-riddled nominee of the communist Democrat Party actually believes that the President of the United States has now ordered the U.S. Postal Service to get out the tractors and go remove all the mailboxes. This is a conspiracy theory that makes the whole Russia Collusion fantasy look positively rational by comparison.
The Unfrozen Caveman Democrat nominee was apparently spooked by a story carried on Thursday by the Oregonian newspaper. Heres an excerpt:
Residents of Portland and Eugene were alarmed this week to see some U.S. Postal Service mailboxes removed from neighborhood streets and hauled away in flatbed trucks.
The sight of mailboxes being carted off caused concern in light of recent comments by President Donald Trump about cutting Postal Service funding. Trump has also criticized voting by mail.
Post Office Sellwood But a Postal Service spokesperson said declining mail volume means the Postal Service is removing duplicate boxes from areas that have multiple collection boxes. The USPS confirmed that four mailboxes were removed in Portland this week.
[End]
Ok, so four count em FOUR duplicate, unneeded mailboxes were removed in one communist Democrat-run city last week, and the Democrat nominee rolls that into a giant nationwide conspiracy theory. Note also how the corrupt writer of this piece alleges that the President, by refusing to waste another $27 billion over and above the current Postal Service budget, is somehow cutting Postal Service funding. Right out of the DNC talking points email, no doubt.
Heres reality:
The U.S. Postal Service is a dying relic and we need to just let it die. Nobody in the GOP is advocating cutting funding to the Postal Service budget, even though they would be doing the country a service by cutting it out entirely. The Democrat/media narrative that the USPS desperately needs another $27 billion to accommodate their vote by mail scheme for this years elections is a fiction: Even if congress allocated the extra money, it would be impossible for USPS management to spend any of it prior to November 3. This is, in other words, just another fake narrative invented out of whole cloth by the Democrats and parroted by the nations raging dumpster fire news media. Oh, and Joe Biden is a mentally-addled reprobate who would destroy our country if he wins in November.
Did I leave anything out?
That is all.
For people who live rural, the mail delivery is very important.
I know people whose HOUSE is over 3 miles from the road & their mailbox. All of those 3 miles are part of their ranch.
All of this is about one thing. Setting up a court order to force the acceptance of ballots that arrive after election day when the rats will know exactly how many votes they will need to harvest.
If there is a vacuum there will be someone to fill it. The old rural excuse to waste billions is the oldest trick in the DNC playbook.
Email and internet bill paying has made the PO obsolete.....
I pay all my bills through the mail and get packages through the mail all the time. I see how silicone valley deplatforms people they mildly disagree with and major corporations sell out to BLM and Antifa. I think i’ll stick with USPS one of the few things the federal government does thats in the constitution.
The USPS handles 19.7 million mail pieces PER HOUR. Mailed ballots (which the USPS, of course, charges to process) in an election are literally a drop in the ocean of mail volumes.
They certainly dont need to be given $25 BILLION blackmail money. Thats the moral equivalent of me telling my wife yes, honey, Ill run to the store to get a gallon of milk...GIVE ME $8 MILLION DOLLARS!

Seriously, maybe 5 times a year. All my bills, mortgage, loans, insurance documents etc. are done online with paperless billing. About the only thing important that still comes in the mail are things like property tax bills, auto license/registration renewals and the like. In fact I've got a big mailbox at the end of my road and usually only check it once a week these days (and typically end up just throwing away a handful of ads, flyers and junk mail).
I think the idea is insane, that Trump is out there sabotaging the PO system. It’s hard to fathom a bureaucracy that could be less efficient than sticking pieces of paper in a leather bag and then walking that paper all over the city. I say this a person who worked as a temp mailman for the PO as a teenager. Me, a nobody off the street, got called into the office one day and told to SLOW DOWN on my route because I was delivering mail faster than the regular guy.
However insane, I see this meme all over Facebook now. Liberals complaining that Trump is destroying the PO so he can steal the election.
Give the Dems credit. They’ve got half of America brainwashed beyond hope.
That is one nasty website. It is filled with ads that won’t let you close and had to shut down my internet to get off.
Does Amazon deliver there?
Me too, I do all my bills and packages via mail. Tried paying some bills via online banking once, then someone hacked our account and drained it.
Once the bank apologized and put our money back (took 2 1/2 weeks), I ended online banking. Never again, I’ll buy stamps and put the bills in the mail box, at least I’ll know no one can hack my account that way.
“I know people whose HOUSE is over 3 miles from the road & their mailbox. All of those 3 miles are part of their ranch.”
How many of those people have internet service? I expect many pay for some type of internet access.
Even if there is no internet physical pick up and delivery of mail could easily be scaled back to three days a week.
Even my creeping up on 90 years old mom is slowly going paperless because of the convenience.
In the digital age the US Post Office is as relevant as the pony express which operated from April 3, 1860, to October 24, 1861 and never generated a penny of profit. Even though the transcontinental RR wasn’t finished until 1869 there was enough service by 1861 to make the PE irrelevant.
Technology in the form of the rail road service made the PE irrelevant. The internet has done the same for the Post Office.
Time to put it out of our misery and save a boat load of money.
There’s a reason the garbage can sits along the path that runs from the house to the mailbox.
So they can pay a private company to deliver their mail. You mentioned an incredibly small set of people compared to the tens and tens of millions who haven’t received an important piece of mail since 2010
Mail is a nuisance in my home. Just a lot of paper to rip up and throw it away. Nothing of importance of all marketing.
I haven’t written a check since I was still young and good-looking :-)
Oh indeed....
Certainly sounds like they’re all focused on the Postal Services as Bidens political position.
I have a friend who lives in the Alaskan interior in a village that is 400 miles from the nearest road. Amazon delivers there.
In the 1990s, I probably used mail services at least fifty times a year.
In the past five years...maybe three times a year. Even for packages...90-percent gets delivered by commercial delivery. I wouldn’t have a problem if the post office were open afternoons only (noon to 6 PM), and only made deliveries Monday through Thursday.
Funny comment. I was the camp director for a boys adventure camp last week (Yes, we’re Open for Adventure)
Our camp treasurer injured himself and had to leave. He reminded me that I’m on the books as a signatory on our checks if needed.
I was wracking my brain to remember the last time I actually signed the front of a check. (My wife has an accounting degree so she does the books at home)
So?....Joe ( a Demon-rat) is accusing the right of what the Demon-rats **will** do.
Those mail boxes aren’t very secure.
