Speaking of listening to the wrong scientists… – In a terrific piece in the Wall Street Journal, Kimberly Strassel looks back at the Biden/Obama administration’s disastrous handling of the H1N1 virus back in 2009-10.
Where more than 5 million Americans have been infected by COVID-19 this year, more than 60 million Americans contracted H1N1. It was only through the grace of God and incredibly good luck that H1N1 was not nearly as deadly as COVID-19 that America did not suffer an enormous calamity during that time.

You say it was due to the grace of God that H1N1 wasn’t as deadly but I disagree. Democrats now are sacrificing people for political reasons. If a Democrat were the president now, mass murderer Andrew Cuomo would not have ordered all of those people in nursing homes killed. Nearly half of all deaths in the entire U.S. came from Cuomo’s murderous policies

Biden isn’t doing anything on his own. He is being led around like a child during the day by his handlers. His dementia is far further along than most believe.

This is another example of our side employing a pathetic debate strategy - supporting a false premise that reinforces the other side’s argument and hurts ours.
The false premise is that a Presidential administration’s “handling” of a pandemic, or a natural disaster, determines the outcome.
Obviously, in the current election year, the Left wants the public to accept that false premise, so they can blame Trump for this pandemic.
Obviously, our debate strategy should be to discredit that false premise - yet here we are talking about “Biden/Obama administration’s disastrous handling of the H1N1 virus back in 2009-10.“
Can’t people see that kind of talk only reinforces their false premises, and their talking points?
We should not be paying lip service to their talking points. A President’s “handling” of a pandemic is only an issue because the Left wants it to be. Why are WE making it an issue?
We should be talking about the real issues - jobs, borders, gun rights, pro-life, America First trade deals, energy independence, military might, etc..
Don’t let the Left make this election about which President “handled” their pandemic better.
We have real issues to debate.
You can bet that every single thing put forth by the America/American-hating Democrat/Left Party has been thoroughly focus group-tested .... re-implementing lockdowns; universal face maxipad-wearing ... all of it is working because so many Americans — Right and Left — remain scared senseless of germs and will take a very long time to recover their adulthood.
