America is beginning to take the next election cycle a bit more seriously these days, as the Republican field begins to see its first competitors step up.
President Trump was the first candidate to officially throw his hat in the ring way back in November 2022. Nikki Haley has begun her bid for the White House, and investment firm manager Vivek Ramaswamy has also recently jumped in the race.
Republican voter enthusiasm at the moment seems to be pointing to a match-up that isn’t even a sure thing at this point – Donald Trump vs. Rick DeSantis. Even the left wing media is curious how the two men will fare in a head-to-head.
An early poll of likely GOP voters released Thursday shows DeSantis leading among would-be candidates.
WPA Intelligence is a survey and data analytics firm that has provided key polling for big campaigns like Glenn Youngkin’s gubernatorial run and Ted Cruz’ presidential run in 2016.
Their latest snapshot poll sampled 1,000 verified Republican voters, and shows DeSantis leading the field at 40 percent — 9 points ahead of President Trump and miles ahead of the third place candidates Nikki Haley and Mike Pence, who tied at 8 percent. The rest of the likely candidates scored as follows:

The poll also provided a two-way race analysis, which saw DeSantis leading Trump by 18 points, at 55 percent.

DeSantis and Trump are standouts among Republican voters who are itching for their political leaders to push back boldly against the far-left progressive agenda. Both have made remarkable progress doing so in their time in the public eye. DeSantis has the advantage of currently governing, and having more recent “wins” in the cultural arena. Trump made huge strides during his term in office. It will remain to be seen how GOP loyalties pan out, if the Florida Governor does get into the race.
Trump has the largest (and most motivated) base of any Republican in my lifetime. These folks will crawl through broken glass to vote for him. In fact, Trump got more votes from people who “never voted” in my lifetime.
“GOP” voters are not often that excited about primaries so enthusiasm counts for a lot. Trump carries his base into the race and as more people enter you dilute the “person other than Trump” vote.
He will win the primary and it won’t be close.

As El Rushbo told his audience repeatedly for decades polls this far removed from an election is meaningless. Most polls at this stage reflect attempts at voter manipulation. Not an actual reflection of voters’ true intentions.
In fact, before he passed away he changed this viewpoint a bit to state that in the past polls were adjusted late to reflect actual voter intent. That appears to have changed. The manipulation in polls Rush stated now seems to take precedence over any thought to credibility.
In this case, the desire to pit Desantis against Trump in the hopes they both destroy each other is the primary goal.

(((YAWN))) A lot can happen in 22 months. Brandon can get 44 million more freeloading RAT voters into the country now that the “activists” are chartering ultra modern, air conditioned buses to drag them up to America from their socialist crap holes.
I thin Vivek and DeSantis should hold fire until 2028. The reason? They are both young, have time, and the Republican is likely to lose 2024. (I like both of them and don’t want either to lose.)
Here’s why. Democrats control Pennsylvania, Arizona Michigan, and Wisconsin. The elections will require more Republicans votes than Democrat “ballots”.
It’s not easy to outvote the ballots.
Then again I am not sure we will make it to 2024 much less 2028.
Trump, the best president in my lifetime....had to put up and contend against the liars daily. He was the most pro-life president...had the best and smartest press secretaries: Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and Kayleigh McEnany. He stood up for our troops and did much to help them. He did more for the people of Northern CA than other leaders did in all the years they were in office. He saved the thousands of people’s homes and lives by fixing the Lake Oroville dam. He did what the CA legislature could not do for their 15 years because the liberal leaders don’t seem to have the brain power or the efficiency to get things accomplished in efficient ways. Instead they seem to be in place to kill, steal, and destroy....Stop voting for liberals if any of you are!
Trump put laws in place to protect religious liberty on campus, and now the Biden Administration is trying to take that away.
He lowered energy and fuel prices. He stabilized our economy. He closed the Southern borders and started building the wall to protect Americans.
He saved American money by his smart business genius.
There are thousands of wonderful things Trump did and all the fake news could do was put him down and hate every day.
God bless my favorite president. He won the 2020 election by a landslide and while America was sleeping the lying thieves changed the numbers to Biden.
Biden got in and destroyed America and everything Trump had done to make America Great Again and strong again. Gas prices are sky rocket high. Children are being mutilated. The economy has tanked. We have double digit inflation. We have the highest interest rates on loans so people cannot afford homes.
People were forced to take the falsely called vaccine that was really a clot shot that killed, maimed, and disabled thousands...maybe more. People lost their jobs who were smart enough not to take it.
So what do we do when there are so many in power who are corrupt?
Here is what we do: Give our lives to Jesus....He will give you an eternity that is led by love and truth. He is the greatest of All. You won’t have to put up with all these liar leaders who are trying to destroy America in Heaven. All people will one day bow the knee and say JESUS is LORD to the glory of God our Father. Those that don’t will be pointed towards the lake of fire to spend eternity in agony. I don’t wish that on anybody. I even pray these evil corrupt leaders will repent...acknowledge to all the people what they have done...live the rest of their lives trying to do the RIGHT thing.

This poll has as much truth in it as the Nov 2020 poll that had bidEn ahead of Trump 81,000,000 to 74,000,000.

Vivek needs to be governor for 4 or 8 years, then run. It’s preposterous for him to waste time, energy and money for a run at POTUS.
DeSantis is deep state. A corrupt phony and it will shown soon. I prayed about him and got a very dark feeling.
If Vivek is actually a natural born citizen, which I’m not sure if he is or isn’t, he ought to be Trump’s VP running mate. By the time 2028 rolls around he would be 41 years old, and a seasoned player in the world of rough & tumble politics.
And Liz Cheney is in 2nd place. Hmmm.

He was born and raised in Cincinnati. If you read up on him he’s an accomplished man with many publications.

That’s good for getting some of the swing voters who know nothing about politics and might vote for Gavin Newsom because he’s “so pretty”.
Tomorrow somebody will post a poll that has Trump +10 over DeSantis. It’s all a bunch of media bull to manipulate into fighting with each other.
