I want to give you all an update on Ethan and Tracey. My friend has been on vacation the last couple of weeks, so this is the first chance I had to solicit some info.

Ethan is going home today, he has been gaining about an ounce a day in weight. Currently he is in the 4.5 lbs. range. The hole in his heart is being treated and will heal without any difficulties. He has a club foot that is straightening out with the cast. He passed his hearing test. The only known long term problem is that he has acid reflux. He will need medication all of his life, but it is treatable and not a major issue. They won't be able to test his optic nerve until he has grown some more.

All in all, a dandy walker baby is coming out of this situation with flying colors! Against the "professional" opinions to abort!
