I like feeling wanted, but over the past several months I've noticed I'm getting pinged for things that I don't know (and unfortunately don't really care) about.
The only ping list I remember signing up for is PJ's DUmmie FUnnies.
Most of the other stuff is interesting, and it's nice to be invited into conversations, I'm just wondering if this is a common occurance with FReepers...or am I just odd?
And really most of this stuff didn't start until I started with DUmmie FUnnies... or maybe that's the only time I really started noticing it.
Any answers?

Personally, I **LOVE** being on ping lists. :o)
I would much rather IGNORE a dozen pings to threads of limited interest to me...
...rather than MISS an extraordinary thread -- because nobody pinged me.
My only point was that "ping-a-phobia" is hardly a NEW phenomenon on FR:
Has anyone else been put on ping lists without their knowledge?

I don't believe I'm pinging you...but if I am, just let me know you don't want me to.
I have a Prayer ping list, missing person ping list, Zot & RKBA lists...I am also putting together some state lists that I only ping for Amber Alerts, fugitive alerts, or other URGENT state articles. I am building those lists from the state home pages.
