Isn't it their duty to do something like that? Isn't their accepting orders from Obama potentially carrying out illegal orders?

Wrong, every service-member takes an oath to the CONSTITUTION, which is what gives the President authority over the armed forces. If a person is not qualified to hold the office of President, how can the President be named the Commander-in-Chief?

Well, a group of military leaders and Senators once did take action when the Constitution was trampled and states’ rights violated. It was called the Civil War. Today, a Kenyan tramples it but none of the luminaries in the Pentagon or the Congress has the cojones to take a stand against it.

Like Britain, we never have an interrex. Someone in the U.S. always has the power of the Presidency, right until the last Cabinet official is exhausted. And the Senate confirms candidates.

If Obama is not qualified, “potentially” carrying out illegal orders is hardly the word for such a situation.
If unqualified, I would assume everything he did in office would be be null and void, illegal, and so on.

As good as it sounds, the main problem with the idea is all of our generals in all the services have integrity far, far higher than the loon and his minions.
The loon will make his “big error” sooner or later. Hopefully sooner.

Agreed- but NOT by the Joint Chiefs. As I suggested, that is the duty of the Congress, possibly with SCOTUS involvement.

I was posting earlier today about what particular ideas make up the “Obama Derangement Syndrome” and I’ll have to say that this is *one of them*... as I’ve posted on it before.
There are variations to this particular theme, which makes up one of the “planks” in the “platform” of the Obama Derangement Syndrome.
One variation and I hear this a few times now and again. It’s that the military should surround the White House with tanks and demand that the President be removed from office or they will take military action against him.
And this variation that you present is like it. It’s the military taking action against the President, when the person in that office holds the position of Commander in Chief. Instead, the generals oust the Commander in Chief... LOL...
That’s a Banana Republic and I didn’t think we had descended into a banana republic mentality, but I may be wrong... :-)
I’m also reminded of the many statements made by our leaders in which we have told the world how we have a system by which we don’t change governments by force or coups and/or the military making the decisions and enforcing it upon the public.
AND... right here, we’ve got the idea which totally contradicts what our leaders have said in the past about our country. Perhaps we do have military coups here — or at least, we have military coups *promoted* as the way to solve our political problems and/or whatever else comes from those political problems... LOL...
At any rate *this* is one plank of the platform of the Obama Derangement Syndrome...

No one has enforced the constitution yet. If the courts don’t, it will rest on the military or the people.
