Are there ANY that are not scams? I REALLY want to know if it is truly possible to make money and if there are any FreepeRs actually doing it.
Ping?
Absolutely! Just become a top-of-the-line .NET 3.5 c# and ASP.NET guru, with good knowledge of SQL or ORACLE, and have Silverlight and JavaScript and Ajax, and I guarentee you will be able to make money.
Not sure if it would pique the interest of the list.
(Luv ya', Laz.)
If you send me $25 I’ll email you an article on how to make money.
Thanx for the ping, ShadowAce
BABBO is this guy, right?
I make some money freelance writing. If I tried harder I could make more.
So the answer is, it depends on what you do.
I have a friend who charges outdoor writers, others, to build their websites, so I suppose there are many possibilities.
I know a woman is became a medical transcritionist...no kidding. She had to go to some real live classes to learn the shorthand...but much of the work she does involves working on her computer at home. I think the handwritten documents are mailed to her; and, she types them up and posts them to a site.
I don’t know what kind of money she makes.
“If you send me $25 Ill email you an article on how to make money.”
I’ll send you two copies, one on laser and one on inkjet, for 24.95 and throw in shipping and handling.
Serious side - if you meant the question where could you be directed to find ways to make money, you’re right, 99.99% places you find ON the net are probably scams.
Off the top of my head (the place where I store most of my ideas) you could:
1. Start your own business in your town teaching people at their home or place of work on how to use computers, seeing as how most people grossly under utilize their equipment.
This could be software specific, or hardware, or both. Idea is that being at a person’s place of work or home you are dealing with their ‘stuff’. Not some class they sit in and where an instructor drones and they drive off to find themselves with different versions of sw or hw.
2. If you are database or SS savy, create some mockups (then ask for payment later) directories or calendars for churches or agencies (not ACORN ;)) or even government outfits and show them how much better it could look, then either do it for a fee or teach them how to do it for a fee.
3. Find sources of funding for local organization or government via your labor and searching, show them teasers, and charge them for the service.
4. Target an organization, agency, or business, do statistical analysis, lots of stuff is on the web, run some preliminary findings (teasers) and say, hire me and you can get reports like this.
Actually, lacrew, I have talked to people who are medical transcriptionists, and they make really great money.
There also is a demand for them.

Posting GOOGLE links at $25.00 a pop seems too good to be true doesn’t it?
I have a friend in Texas who does medical coding and billing from home. I always see ads for that.
I’ll do it for $10.00.
Check out Elance.
Just an aside - if the male enhancement creams actually worked, wouldn't you see guys running around with one hand larger than the other?
You can also sell the new fast acting viagra. The only problem is that you have to swallow it quickly or you get a stiff neck.
You can definitely make money using your computer, but try to think of the computer as a tool, and not so much as a business itself.
I’ve been making money online since the beginning of the year, so I can vouch that it can at least be done. Naturally, you have to do your due diligence when choosing what online business to go with. In my experience, most of them are real businesses, but they do vary broadly in cost, administration, and strength of market demand for their products.
There are also some dead-end schemes out there that you can waste your money on, but anyone with reasonable intelligence should be able to spot those.
The fact is, doing business online is work. You’re not going to “get rich while you sleep.” If you’re a person who has a decent work ethic and will put in the effort, you’ll do as well with an online business, as with a traditional job.
