I've had these pictures sat on my PC for years so i've finally got around to hosting them. I'm slowly captioning them too, based on translations from a French Flickr account. I think he copied them from somewhere else so i don't feel too bad about using them. I'm not copying word for word anyway.
Anyway, hope some of you enjoy them !

Were Japanese soldiers fighting with Germans? Who are these Asian prisoners in German uniforms?
Third set of photos.
AWESOME!
Many of the units manning the Atlantic Wall were low quality static units.
The were often comprised of people the Germans had captured themselves and pressed into service. Those Asians could have been from the eastern parts of the USSR, or perhaps even Koreans captured by the Soviets from the Japanese.
Great pictures of Carentan.I live in Angoville for a couple of months each year which is between Carentan and Utah beach Have shown many of the pictures to people who live in the area who are too young to remember the war and how the area looked in 1944....especially in Carentan proper and St Hilaire and St. come du Mont.
Thanks very much.
