Shedding our penis spines helped us become human, DNA study hints

Genetic comparison with chimps suggests that losing chunks of DNA – including one associated with penis spines and facial whiskers – played a crucial role in making us human.

Scientists have identified a clutch of subtle genetic changes that have shaped our minds and bodies into the unique form that sets humans apart from chimpanzees and the rest of the animal kingdom.

The work by researchers in the US represents a landmark in a search that has occupied philosophers and scientists for millennia and one that goes to the heart of understanding what it means to be human.

The findings offer up the humbling conclusion that the secret of human success may owe more to what we lost along the path of evolution, rather than anything we gained.

When the human genome was first deciphered more than a decade ago, some scientists expected to find extra genes that explained why humans had an intellectual edge over their closest living relatives and other species. But since diverging from chimpanzees around seven million years ago, it turns out that our human ancestors lost several hundred snippets of DNA, which together led to traits that are uniquely human, the researchers claim.

In ditching these chunks of DNA, our ancient ancestors lost facial whiskers and short, tactile spines on their penises. The latter development is thought to have paved the way for more intimate sex and monogamous relationships. The loss of other DNA may have been crucial in allowing humans to grow larger brains.

Intriguingly, hardly any of the lost DNA was from genes, which make the proteins that are the building blocks of life. Instead, the missing DNA came from areas of the genome that regulate where and when certain genes are active.

The San Bushmen are physically different than all other humans. This difference is catalogued in ancient Egpytian hieroglyphics.

The Khoisan People

"Two striking anatomical features are steatopygia and macronympha(The Hottentot apron) The former refers to an accumulation of fat over the buttocks(Saarti Baartman) Not only the buttocks but the thighs as-well Large buttocks are a prized possession among the San The San male penis(I had a private peek)is constantly at a 64 degree horizontal position while the bantu has a 0 degree position. Given the high promiscuity in the West, will penis spines suddenly have a punc-eq moment and spread like wildfire?

Or does abortion negate the genetic advantage conferred?

Cheers!

For the benefit of any who might have missed it, the basic non-evolution of modern man.

What this particular thread is about is a total misinterpretation of recent findings involving chimpanzee vs human DNA. It turned out that the genetic gap between modern man and chimpanzees is truly gigantic and the idea that anybody could see any sort of an argument FOR evolution in any of that is astonishing and evidence of people living in a total state of denial.

Not only does this new finding make the Haldane dilemma a thousand time or more worse than it already was for evolutionites (it was already far too bad for them to live with), it also makes the gap between us and hominids a thousand times more unbridgeable, and it was unbridgeable to start with.

“Proving” that man evolved from chimps or apes is another way that the leftists demean humanity (as if they weren’t part of it — oh, wait...). It fits their narrative, so true or not, they will repeat it until it causes a fuss between those who are fooled and we who know the truth.

You can see the problem here... I mean, logic simply bounces off these people like water off a duck. What’s going to happen is that the laughter will reach a certain level and then it won’t be possible for a teacher or professor to stand in front of a classroom and talk about evolution any more without hearing snickering and seeing eyes rolling back, and at some point they (evolutionites) will all crack from the stress. At that point evolution will be something you only hear about in teachers’ lounges until those suckers all die out from old age and then it’ll be gone.

An assumption of evolution allows for one to believe your own group (or even an individual) to be superior to another. This is the CORE of leftist belief, that they are superior. They spend their lives justifying that belief.
Unfortunately, it also justifies racism. Obviously, some “races” are “more evolved” and superior than others, right?

Creationism, all decended from one man created in the image of God, obviates any thoughts of superiority of one people group over another.
