Some of the blind dates I've had make me wonder.....

No tongue, I refuse to give tongue.
AND, the dog needs to understand that a kiss is as far as I am willing to go, period.

I think it is safe to assume your blind date has not recently eaten vomit, eaten poop, or drunk out of a toilet. Based on my observations while channel surfing, I don't think you can assume that at all these days!
I love to kiss my kitties on the top of their velvety heads. Girl cat likes to kiss me on the nose and boy cat goes for the forehead.
Once I was at the vet and was looking at a pet-human health poster on the wall and about the moment my eyes reached the line, "Never kiss your pet," the vet hugged my kitty, told her she was cute and kissed her on the forehead.

I kiss my kids ‘daily’. In fact, one of them comes to me and will butt her head into my chin until I shower her with ‘mama’ kisses (on top of her head), which I do.
My baby boy does the same thing to an extent. He just expects kisses anytime he climbs into my lap.
IS IT SAFE TO KISS YOUR PET?? Ummm been doing it for years and I’m still here.
Sidenote: kisses should NOT be on their mouth (for pete’s sake)
To: momtothree
Both, it depends on who pays the most attention to them. In my case, my mastiffs have always been close to me as the rest of the family aren’t fans of big dogs. My Canaan dog is more their speed.
But when they were little my (now departed) mastiff would have the kids climbing all over him and he would follow them everywhere. Yet, he would cuddle with me at night.
I originally went with the breed because they had the lowest number of recorded people bites after the Bernese Mountain dog. I visited a Bernese breeder in summer and those dogs seemed to suffer more in the Kansas heat. So, I went with the English Mastiff and now always will have one.

I love my pets...but on their mouth???? Are people stupid?
That reminds me of how dog people allow their dogs to lick them on the face...what idiots. Dogs EAT poop!
