Loud cell-phone talker removed from quiet car by police

A woman who was escorted off an Amtrak train by police this weekend after she allegedly refused to stop talking loudly on her cell-phone has the Internet cheering her fate.

Civilians and quiet-car champions are supporting her ejection for violating policy at high volume during the 16-hour journey. It doesn't help her cause that she became belligerent when confronted about it by one of her fellow passengers.

KOMO News reports that Lakeysha Beard says she felt "disrespected" by the incident, though passengers said it was Beard who was being rude by refusing to stop yapping while sitting in one of the train's designated quiet cars.

The cop should have used his baton.

Well, it could’ve been worse.

She could’ve been naked as well. An ongoing assault on the ears AND the eyes at the same time!

Seriously, though, the news has become full of these stories about people who have no concept of any social contract to behave in public.

Another predictable outcome from the “Great Society”.

Oh, I see. So yapping loudly on a phone in a designated quiet car it isn't disrespectful to the people who paid for the quiet car, but throwing her loud ass out of the car for not following the one simple rule is disrespectful to her.

At least she hasn't cried racism ... yet...

Lakeisha meaning and name origin

Lakeisha \l(a)-kei-sha\ as a girl's name is pronounced lah-KEE-shah. Possibly variant of Hebrew Kezia meaning "cassia tree", via Keesha and Keisha. Lakeisha and its variant forms are also rhyming variants of Leticia or from the combination of La- with Aisha (Arabic) "alive and well". The French prefix La- was first added by free people of color in Louisiana and has become a popular naming trend among African Americans. Also possibly (Swahili) "favorite one".

Lakeisha has 14 variant forms: Lakeesha, Lakecia, Lakesha, Lakeshia, Laketia, Lakeysha, Lakicia, Lakiesha, Lakisha, Lakitia, Laquisha, Lekeesha, Lekeisha and Lekisha.

Baby names that sound like Lakeisha are Laquesha and Lacacia.

View a list of the 3 names that reference Lakeisha.

Eh, anyone dumb enough to buy a Amtrak ticket to spend 24 miserable hours going from LA to Portland deserves this kind of experience. It will teach them that it’s much better to spend 5 minutes being groped by a homo TSA agent and 2 hours of flying time packed in like sardines. Plus it’s much cheaper to fly so there! Thank God we can still drive our cars, for now.

Blacks are NOT inferior, but it is RACIST to hold them to the same standards as everyone else.

as someone on here once said so brilliantly, "ah, the soft bigotry of lowered standards".

Actually, I kinda enjoy traveling by train.

The “Keystone” from NYC to Pittsburgh through Horseshoe Curve and the Zephyr through the Rockies are unforgettable rides.

The food in the dining cars is primo, too.
