Bigfoot exists – and I have proof, Alberta guide says
Globe and Mail (Can) ^ | 09.02.11

A wilderness and ecology guide believes Bigfoots by the dozen could be roaming the wilderness of southern Alberta and parts of British Columbia.

Todd Standing says he has photographic proof that such creatures exist after snapping a photo of something in the Banff area with human-like features on its hairy face.

That guy also claims there was an Apollo 18 — there wasn’t, the last Apollo was 17, the last Saturn V launch was for Skylab — but the booster could be heard for hundreds of miles. Not much secrecy about that. No credibility at all.

Interesting. Sounds like a story I’ve heard too. In Sunday School. (Although the Sunday School version doesn’t focus on the giants - but they are talked about pre-flood, but not later).

I live in WA and also have heard stories from respectable people. I recall one time a game warden friend had to back out on a job he was going to help us with. He was going down with another guy from the state and a Univ. of Washington scientist of some sort to SW Washington.

Seems a farmer saw a Bigfoot climb over a fence and it left some hair.

All he said about it was “Oh, we just do it to keep the farmer happy.” (3 guys, 3-4 hour drive, lab samples, etc. - just to “keep some farmer happy”??)

I recall back before Y2K they were refitting one of the old missle silos outside of Kenmore for a government communications site. (It was in the paper). I mentioned it to him (he lived in Kenmore) and he said “Oh? Uh, never neard of it.” (But he could tell you about every little back road and trail everywhere else in three counties!)

What is odd about that? I did not say I discouted the native accounts, simply that western zoologists discounted them (foolishly).

I heard that - But then you said the Sasquatch is imagined. I simply related the fact that American Indians (natives like those you find credence in in Africa and elsewhere) wholeheartedly believe the Sasquatch is real. If you willingly take the recommendation of other natives, but Sasquatch is 'imagination', it seems to me that you must be discounting the long and storied history of the Native Americans wrt Bigfoot. That is what I meant to point out.

It is an interesting snake. A better description of it can be found here:

http://www.tigerhomes.org/animal/boomslang-snake.cfm

A general rule of thumb is if the natives tell you not to walk down that trail, or eat that fruit, or swim that river ...believe them. There might be a really good reason why. Eg bleeding from your eyes, ears, nose, anus ...plus interesting colored urine (black is a 'unique' color I'd say!). Basically a hit of Ebola in snake form. :)

That’s very much along the lines of the comment above about why aren’t these things in zoos.

Zoos as we know them are pretty recent phenomena.

And up until a hundred years or so ago, the kind of fellow who traveled in the west was the kind of guy who would shoot first and ask questions later.

Former/current teacher?

Nope. I'm an old, literate redneck. I've spoken and read English all my life.

They used to teach it in the public schools.

My wife and I were in Banff last week. I thought I saw something that looked like Bigfoot. On closer inspection it was in fact just another tourist from our hotel who hadn’t shaved for a week. His feet were quite large however.

DISBELIEVER!!! How dare you bring facts and logic into a discussion about a creature that no one has ever seen and whose remains have never been found? It’s like you’re demanding uh er... evidence or something. Yeah, that’s it. Evidence...phooey!

While going over the highway from Banff into B.C. the wife and I saw four grizzlies perambulating alongside the road. We’d never seen bears before in the wild. Bigfoot was not present.

Bigfoot might not be an animal but a form of human—as such they night be smarter than we are and as such hide from us, bury their dead and perhaps use the ESP they have to render themselves invisible! They only are sighted when they are sick or make mistakes. We might be their form of entertainment —they watch us for fun. As totally psychic animals they know when we are looking for them before we even start—having ESP they are ideal hunters and do not need the so called advances of civilization. Far fetched? Yes, but possible.

There was a dead rabbit on our driveway. In two days, there was nothing left but bones. The third day, there was no trace left to show that the animal had ever been there — even the blood stain on the concrete was gone.

I wish I had time-lapse/motion detection video recording capability, for I would love to have seen all the creatures and insects that dined on the bunny.

Here is my take. Think about your own circle of friends and acquaintances, how many of those are pranksters? 2-3 out of 100? Of those 2-3 how many would actually file a official report or an agency? My bet is only 1 out of 2000. Of those how many would back down if confronted? Probably 95% .... Now think about the odds of thousands of people writing out official reports of first hand encounters? Now if you are really wondering if there are reports out there click on a state and start reading. Think about how much time and energy it would take to make all this up and what would be the pay off. http://www.bfro.net/GDB/
