I think the primaries are being moved up to force Palin to declare sooner than she intends...

I believe that the ruling class politicians see Palin as a real threat to their status quo, and her postponement of announcing her candidacy as a hindrance to their stopping her.

One way to force her hand earlier than she intends is to move up the primaries.

Anybody else see a pattern here?

It's all a grand conspiracy. Please world stop spinning until Sarah tells us it's OK

Read C4P sometime, it will really open your eyes at how deep in to the cult of Palin some people have sunk. They really do think the entire political world revolves around Sarah. They think everyone is afraid of her and any criticism is a desperate attempt to slow down her soon to be meteoric rise to the White House. The delusion is absolutely complete. These people are 100% certain she is going to throw her hat in the ring, and the most common reason given is that she would not have waited this long if she wasn't running (you see that same argument made here by some of her supporters). If Governor Palin does not run for President (and I don't think she will), the meltdown among her supporters is going to be epic and incredibly ugly. I suspect at this point, that is why Palin is delaying letting her people down.

RE :”Read C4P sometime, it will really open your eyes at how deep in to the cult of Palin some people have sunk. They really do think the entire political world revolves around Sarah

Read it? I posted one C4P myself yesterday. It is getting funnier and funnier there. In the below they speculated that her saying on Greta that she "didnt need a 'title' like president" was really a coded message about a third party run.

Which Title Doesn’t Governor Palin Need? (Theory: she was talking a third party run)

But better yet the day before they (C4P) said the same interview was a big head fake to make the bad people like Megyn Kelly (”Enemies of Sarah’) think that she would not run, so she can surprise them and announce Sept 9. But the real faithful believers would not be fooled. Rather biblical sounding wouldnt you say?

Governor Palin is Still Alley Cat Smart [C4P’s John Smith on Sarah Palin’s recent “head fake”]

To repeat my self because it sounded good reading it: "It's all a grand conspiracy. Please world stop spinning until Sarah tells us it's OK"

Do the stars shine only for Sarah?

E Plur, Florida wants to go earlier so they can have more of an impact, period. They are jealous of the early states, all of which are much smaller in population. The other early states will move earlier still, so they can remain before Florida. It has as much to do with Palin as it does with the orbits of the moons of Jupiter.

Some states have been frustrated with the (absurd and haphazard in my opinion) primary process for a long time. Don’t you remember what happened with Florida and Michigan in 2008?

You know the real reason they haven’t expanded instant reply in baseball? It has to do with Palin. The conspiracy is vaster than we can possibly imagine.

It is getting funnier and funnier there.

Honestly, I find it extremely disappointing. Mostly because it confirms to me that people of all ideologies are pretty much equally capable of falling into cult like behavior. Part of me always assumed that conservatives were mostly too smart for that considering we are more the rugged individualists, but seeing Sarah's fanatical followers is just a reminder that human nature is what it is and people of all stripes can become blinded by a personality to the point they lose all ability to be rational.

No politician, even our favorites are above criticism. When they screw up, we should say so. When they say dumb things or make mistakes, we should be willing to call them out. For example, I thought Perry looked like a good option but have no problem attacking his miserable debate performances and expressing concerns about his inability to communicate effectively. You rarely see even constructive criticism of Palin from her supporters here and certainly not on sites like C4P (where you'd just be banned for such heresy). In fact, they react with outrage at the tiniest perceived slight. Yes, Palin has been ripped apart often unfairly and in the most vile manner, so I can sort of see the reason for some of the persecution complex - but her fanatics just take it way over the top and to the point they think she can do no wrong. It's just disappointing to watch.

Yeah, all anybody anywhere in American politics is thinking about 100% of the time is palin(™) and when she will announce that she is coming to save us.

indeed ..they have orchestatred the entire GOP process state by state not to find a nominee but to thwart Sarah Palin

Well, no, that's not a full statement of the theory, and any theory only half-presented can be made to look ridiculous. To add a few more key terms, assume there is a Republican elite, and further assume that Mittens is their man. No need at this point to argue about why, but I'm guessing it has to do with being able to control him. Anyway, if Romney is the objective, Palin is probably the single biggest threat to that objective. Yes, that last point is also an assumption, but it must have some merit or Palin would not be a target of interest to establishment hacks like Rove, Erickson, et al. And there are other lines of analysis supporting that idea as well. Bottom line, if Palin could obstruct Romney, and I believe she can, it makes perfect sense from a game theory point of view for the establishment to attempt to give Romney an advantage in the Romney-Palin matchup. Not a conspiracy theory. Just good gamesmanship. Though personally I think it is too little too late. The latent support for Palin is more than Team Romney is prepared to handle, as will become evident shortly. IMHO.

But she said she would let everyone know one way or the other by the end of Sept. Today is Oct. 1.

My problem with your statement (and Erick's) is you are too smart to know it's true. No, I mean really, you can’t be making such a statement sincerely believing it to be true. You can read well, you doubtless understand the indeterminate nature of campaign decision making, and if you bothered to read the Ames interview at all, you know full well no firm commitments were made, nor could be made in such a fluid context.

Which raises the question, why would you be pushing a meme you cannot possibly believe yourself to be true? Could it be you want to actively mislead people with weaker reading and research skills? But if so, mislead them into what? Into thinking Palin isn't running? That not working, as the Palin hive is alive and well and looking to the primary filing deadlines just like everyone else.

Or is it just to use the FR platform to create a false impression of Sarah herself for the broader, undecided segment of the electorate? That won’t work either. The moment Palin enters the race, all bets are off. Some phony memes like this may carry some small residual effect for a while, but as we have seen with Palin, she is Teflon with these “false light” attacks, and they will all fade in the light of truth. From truth to liberty and from liberty to truth.

SP WAS wearing a running suit.Remember blink seven times and wear her hair down and only you and I will know she will announce to not announce that she will not be announcing. It is on HER TIME! NOT YOURS!So stop obsessing over it while they say she has a ‘running suit’ on ya hear!

There are numerous articles of a SP time frame of announcement to announce or not announce or not run,or to indeed run.Just because someone found one interview that said Sept. Oct. and others read (or saw the interview) that was more widely known;to say 'by the end of Sept.' (or some such language don't sue me)does not mean anyone has any ill intentions to create a false platform or impression of SP.

It is SP causing the misconceptions and confusion because she is all over the place and confusing as to what it is she may or not be doing. In which BTW: In this forum, We have been told by the supposed SP experts of her every move; that SP is doing this on purpose as it is a part of the plan to eliminate the MSM and GOP yet you somehow are now using a broad brush to paint ill intent of those that dare question when the already given theory is SP is doing this on purpose.

Not at all. I simply believe that those touting the fake September 30th deadline meme are way too intelligent to be making such a simple-minded mistake. It can't be. CGG is too competent to be misled into thinking any of the general timeframe talk was intended to be precise and committal. In general, none of you are fools.

Therefore, the only reasonable conclusion it that it has to be intentional, a willful misreading of the text (or careful ommissions in the case of RedState). Yes, FR has a few losers, but generally we are well regarded as a conservative hub because we reach higher. And we do, because we can. All I'm asking for is that FReepers live up to their own hard-earned and well deserved reputation for dealing in truth.

The latest reasoning of SP not announcing by the end of Sept. is the trashy tabloid garbage story (book) whatever it is- released about SP.Out of respect the articles are not even posted here speaking about it.Yet...it is brought up now as a reason Palin did not announce by the end of Sept.

As it has been stated; the MSM would hammer SP on this.

It is tabloid trash that won’t go away from Sept. to Oct.or ever.No matter when SP announces it will be a big deal to them.Bachmann was attacked brutally and got in a ran and dealt with it and was called a RINO on this forum by the SPalinista’s. I respect Bachmann and she is not a RINO.

The other theory of SP’s announcement being delayed by the supposed SP experts is that if SP did announce back in Aug or Sept. let’s say...None of the other candidates would be vetted properly. Most specifically the frontrunner-Perry (and they meant to use the word attacked instead of vetted as only SP was ever attacked according to them; you see.)

Perry was attacked ( I mean vetted) in many debates all against one- him Rick Perry.SP added to this ‘vetting’ as a paid political commentator. If SP had been ganged up on like Perry was in those debates she wouldn’t have survived either. (No matter what you think of Perry’s politics.)

So Perry is out of the way... all candidates have been properly vetted and attacked for this stage of the dog and pony show. What’s the new excuse?

Truthfully? Sarah, although I like her immensely and at one time would have fully supported her, is off my radar screen now. Coyness and gamesmanship isn’t something that I am fond of. You either have beliefs, convictions and the drive to fulfill them, or you don’t. Games are for TV shows.

There are some real butt-lickers on the declared GOP candidate list and we’ll all have to sort them out, but at least they are there - up front - putting themselves out there for consideration. Some, like Romney and Paul needn’t have bothered, but the rest deserve some looking at. I don’t see this with her; all I see and here are supporters’ strained interpretations about what this or that means with respect to her candidacy, if there really is one.
