Not to take Ottis the Drunk's side, But no we don't, we never know. We just know that if we ask we'll just make it worse so we act like we know and get defensive to make sure we don't accidentally admit to something you don't already know about. That's the good news. The bad is that the treacly miasma of self-righteousness that passes for critical thought these days is not waning, but waxing; that education of the youth that will march awkwardly and ill-led into the future is given them at a premium rate by a class of pompous idiots who are, if it is imaginable, even stupider than they and protected by the sacrifices of better men and women than themselves from the absolutely just consequences of their folly, cheered on by cultural icons who not only reject God but pretend to reject Mammon as well while embracing him.
