Chinese 'ghost bride' sold twice into marriage

The woman, from China's Hebei Province, near Beijing, died over the Lunar Year holiday, according to the Global Times.

But her family decided to sell her for a "ghost marriage", a superstition that sees dead bachelors married off so they can wander the afterlife together.

Despite Mao Tse Tung attempting to stamp out the practice after he and the Communist Party came to power in 1949, the black market for 'corpse brides' continues to thrive today.

In this case, the family sold their dead daughter, receiving 35,000 yuan (£3,500), where a spirit wedding was conducted. The two were then buried together.

Grave robbers however dug up the brides body, and were caught by police marrying her off to a dead bachelor in another town for 30,000 yuan, it was claimed.

Shoot, in the U.S. someones dead wife only comes back around on election day. (although I hear ACORN summonings can be quiet expensive)

Quick someone contact Mormon Romney so he can arrange for these dead people to be baptised.

Just in case anyone is confused (Mormons that includes you)... There is no marriage in heaven.

Mat 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

12:25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

“A few days ago, I read mormons had baptized Jesus.”

LOL! Ok, baptizing dead people is weird, but at least it’s kind of consistent with their position that all the Christian churches are corrupt and doing it wrong. Are they now saying that John the Baptist and the Holy Spirit did it wrong at the River Jordan?

If only Joe Smith or Brigham Young could have been there to advise them on the proper procedures!

Hey! No fair trying to confuse the “holy priesthood” by referring to the Bible. Don’t you know that Satan went back and scribbled all those inconvenient verses in the margins just to trick the rubes? /s

Dude, are you serious??? LoL!

And here I was cheering the fact I just finished my Chemistry final (train wreck scenario with tanker cars I had to identify by placard only, in the middle of a small town with gasoline tanker car, a compressed oxygen tanker car, and a phosgene tanker car with 20,000 gallons of liquified death... and answer a bunch of questions regarding evacuations, potential chemical reactions, collateral damage, etc.) and finished my 23 page research paper on the San Bruno pipeline rupture/detonation... a week of serious academic hoohaaas...

And you go and plunk this gem in my lap???? Now I only feel lazy!!! Lmao.. this is one way too deep in crazy!
