Bob-bob the sly moggie decided that he was not about to let his owner go to the Happiest Place on Earth without him and so slipped into her suitcase ready for the ten hour journey.
Ethel Maze from Ohio didn't realise that she was in fact harbouring her pet in her luggage and despite the bag being screened at Port Columbus International Airport it wasn't until she checked into her hotel room and unzipped her bag that she noticed the black cat tucked into her belongings.
The 14-month old kitty appeared to be shaken from the long-haul flight, however soon began purring after being discovered by Ms Maze.
She told the Mail Online: 'He was so frightened. He hid for about seven hours in our hotel room and only in the middle of the night came out and started licking us and purring.'
After finding Bob-bob, Ms Maze rushed out to a local pet store to pick up supplies for her surprise guest, however questions have been raised over how the feline managed to make it through airport security.
Spokeswoman for the Transport Security Administration, Sari Koshetz told ABC News 'our machines are very sensitive to picking up explosives and other threats to aviation,' however it seems that they are not built to detect stowaway moggies.
Ms Maze, who runs the Maze Residential Care Home for disabled veterans, was part of a group of injured service members and volunteers making their annual trip to Orlando.
Iz Basement Cat...
Luggage cat will not be left alone.
My tomcat likes jumping in my suitcase too, but at 16 pounds he does not go unnoticed.
".?????...stowaway, my petunias......he's an illegal alien from Somalia, look at em"
Radiated, shaken, frozen, but not stirred.
I do so love the cats :-)
Our cat just had 7 kitties last week, maybe I will post a few pics. It’s an instant Crazy Cat Lady starter kit ...lol
Good thing he has nine lives.
Please do post pix!
Why wasn’t she fixed? In my county alone, they put 50 plus cats to sleep every day of the year.
Because she wasn't broken........
Bob-Bob the cat travels very well. :)=^..^=
I love cats also, have hafe a basketball team, 6 of them. :)=^..^=
That he does.
That looks just like our Nikita! So sweet!
Sure enough it’s a black cat.... They’re crazy as all hell and always getting into mischief.
I’m sure glad to see he’s happy and safe now.
When I was a child we would come home from vacation and our cat would piss in the luggage. He was mad at us.....
I would not be surprised if Bob-bob p*ssed IN the luggage...
What I think Bob Bob said: “I Can Has Cheezburger?”
Well, the airports have X-ray machines, they don’t have CAT scanners.
Ping me if you post em please!
It’s the bonsai kitten!
Too funny. In 1978 Mrs. RQSR, and I spent our Honeymoon at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, California. We had the room called “What’s Left”. We no sooner were inside the room, and setting up the suitcases on the racks when we heard a disturbance at the door. I opened the door, and a black & white cat walked quite determinedly into the room, jumped up into the open suitcase, and began preening herself. Needless to say we called her “Madonna” after the Inn. She spent the entire night, and when morning came she meowed a couple of times, I opened the door, and off she went. Never saw her again after that night.
Within a year we had a cat (one of many over the years) adopt us that looked exactly like that cat. We of course named her “Madonna”.
Today we have sixteen cats, plus three visitors, and have had a total of approximately 40 cats in the past 34 years. For whatever reason they seek us out, and find just the suckers they need to live their life of Riley.
We’ve also had about 40 dogs since we’ve been married as well. Currently having three. Mostly all “rescues” as they too found us.
It’s been a wonderful life.
Looks just like Lucas Prince of Darkness.
ceiling cat has blessed you.
I know, I know, just nitpicking, but the article title says Disneyland, and they apparently went to Disney World.
Wonder if the feline stowed away on the return trip after she found out how much airlines charge for pet transport?
Maybe he didn’t want to be groped by the TSA.
Cats can detect suckers. Believe me, I know.
Congrats on your wonderful (fur and hoomin) family.
I love Basement Cats.
