(-:(-:(-:THE OFFICIAL SOCIALIST FRIDAY SILLINESS THREAD:-):-):-)

Posted on 11/09/2012 4:33:01 AM PST by Lucky9teen

There is an imposter among us...

The politician was sitting at his campaign headquarters when the phone rang.
He listened intently, and after a moment his face brightened.

When he hung up, he immediately phoned his mother to tell her the good news.

"Ma," he shouted, "the results are in. I won the election!"

"Honestly?" she replied.

The politician's smiled faded. "Aw, Ma, why bring that up at a time like this?"

To Obama...

Political wisdom:

'Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first.' - Ronald Reagan

'The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it'. - Ronald Reagan

'Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy'. - Ernest Benn

Now and then an innocent man is sent to the legislature. - Kin Hubbard

That was actually from a film commissioned by FAA to see what happens to the passengers during a crash. The plane was loaded with Crash Test Dummies, cameras from every angle imaginable, and remotely controlled to crash at a certain speed.

I watched the “film” on it and it was extremely interesting. The findings told them (whoever was officially curious) things they had no clue about. It seems to me that the idea behind the experiment was what actually happened to the plane upon impact, not necessarily what the pilots and crew do or don’t before the crash. Sometimes, the pilots are dead before the plane starts the descent, and that seems to be what the test was about: Could people survive?

(Too bad I didn’t go to school for this...)

After waiting 2 1/2 hours Tuesday (I should’ve stayed home and got drunk) and seeing the outcome, this verse of a song from Blazing Saddles came to mind. Thanks to Mel Brooks....

Now it’s a time of great decision
Are we to stay or up and quit
There’s no avoiding this conclusion
Our country’s turning into sh!t.........

Nope - you’re getting me confused with somebody else; my bitch was JR’s insistance that FR is now “fixed” and I dared to disagree.
