I started reading my kindle edition of "The Man in the High Castle" yesterday and I am already about half-way through and I was wondering who else has read this and I am interested in other Freeper's feedback (without giving anything away).

Last time I read it was about 20 years ago. Really should make the time to reread it. It’s probably his best book. Hard to discuss until you finish it though, he backloaded all his usual reality challenging stuff, so the last 50 pages makes it very different.
thanks!
Loong time ago. I should re-read it. One of the more approachable of Dick’s works.
I like Dick’s work... he achieved a level of paranoia in the 60’s that most of us are only able to appreciate now.
And then there’s Food Channel version, “The Man in the High White Castle”
Mmmmm...sliders.

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! ( to quote Richard Feynman. ) It was some time ago, though. I've read SCANNER DARKLY more recently ( and have seen the movie. ) I would agree I should read tMitHC again, as others note. I also agree the big mind trip is at the end. I thought that the title itself actually referred to ... to ... OK no spoilers.
Great comment. I agree.
Dick was a visionary. I read this as a teenager 45 years ago, must revisit.
Hitler was not "against all Slavs" - he collaborated with Slovaks, Croats and Bulgarians and to some extent Ukrainians
Assuming that the US did not enter the war and that hitler still went ahead and invaded the USSR, the fact is that the Japanese were not willing to attack the USSR from the east and the Poles and Russians were ready to kill Germans in 43 onwards and did -- German manpower would have been decimated by 45 in the East
Also, this assumes that Asia would just lie down and take the japanese coming in -- not quite true for South-Asia. Very few indians joined the Japanese, most were POWs who took it as a way to escape the Japanese war camps and the Japanese would have been hit by northern Indian warriors and Gurkhas who would have slaughtered the Japanese and the Indian climate with its heat and monsoons would have sapped them. remember that the British "colonization" of india was more getting local kings to collaborate and to slowly, trade and win.
I don’t read fiction now, haven’t for years. I’ve never read that one, but AFAIC he’s the only sci-fi writer who was a writer.
H.G. Wells?
He was an overrated undertalented socialist.
His politics are not relevant. He was a the model of what Science Fiction strives for and was a much better prose stylist than PKD.
I read it several times in high school and in my 20s. It is a very well written book and I enjoyed it very much but like others here I need to revisit it.
I have been revisiting other PKD books and just reread The Divine Invasion for the first time since it was published. Under-rated masterpiece, IMO. Nothing in the story makes any sense but it is so well written.
