Take 5 Minutes to See What the Moon Will Do During 2013
Universe Today ^ | 20 November, 2012 | NANCY ATKINSON

Posted on 11/25/2012 10:55:49 AM PST by Errant

This new video shows exactly how the Moon will look to us on Earth during the entire year of 2013. While the Moon always keeps the same face to us, it’s not exactly the same face. Because of the tilt in its axis and shape of its orbit, we see the Moon from slightly different angles over the course of a month, and the year. Normally, we don’t see how the Moon “wobbles” in its orbit or as it moves closer and farther away from Earth. But seeing the entire year compressed down to 5 minutes, we can see the changes in libration, and axis tilt — as well as the most noticeable changes, the Moon’s phases.

I was waiting in line at one of the office supply chains, the hired help was looking in back for some item I wanted (I think it was the Iomega 500 gb for Mac, it’s a beautiful drive, and tough as nails it turns out, I wish they’d kept making ‘em) and the geek in line behind me was carrying a hotspot in his pocket, and was using an iPod Touch (which is really just a small tablet computer, Apple tested the waters with that one IMHO) with VoIP software and a virtual phone keypad to have his business line on him at all times. Made a short story a little long, but basically, I’m sure what you’re trying is possible. I’ve been giving some thought to running a sort of in-house proxy server as a gateway, so the hotspot only knows about one device, and everything wired or otherwise would just be administered in the proxy. It has been working off a fast switch, but this morning I couldn’t connect, and didn’t have time to fiddle.

Interesting....the weston observatory from Boston College has a quake forecast tool:

http://www.bc.edu/research/westonobservatory/northeast/eqprobability.html

Most of the great quakes of New England and Canada were preceded by healty foreshocks so I assume that is pretty much the source of their calculations. Not very scientific for not all of the great quakes were warned by a forequake.

Yeah there is a classic one for Mt Redoubt that was a sound simililation of a classic harmonic tremor. If you haven’t heard it I will attach the link!

I see your spectacular comet ever in late 2013, and raise you four consecutive blood moons (full eclipse) in 2014 and 2015 that exactly coincide with Passover, Feast of Tabernacles, Passover, and Feast of Tabernacles. Never happened before. You will be quite amazed. Use search engine for "Mark Biltz" to find the youtube discussions of this amazing event. He's a messianic pastor who discovered this a couple of years ago. Blood Moons

Whoa! Needs to be set to independent tones with tone generation frequencies based on location i.e., Close Encouters of the Third Kind.

Lol! How 'bout you emailing the creators and making the suggestion. ;) They have the data and most of the code needed and only need to add a routine/class to generate the sound and tell 'em to do the same with the colors!

:)

The data wouldn't be too hard to get. USGS will have that. The hard work would be the programming required to generate the flashes to coincide with intensity and location overlaid over a map of the area involved. They've got that done already and only need to alter the tones based on maybe a longitudinal scale; same with the colors.

Any resonance would stand out immediately and well worth the bit of extra programming just to see. Creating a new video out of it might be a bit of work for them.

Actually frequency based on latitude would be better in this case, or perhaps both.

Two leading theories in regards to Quake generation will be tested in California this weekend, heavy precip and lunar pull...lol

I heard about about that... Some kind of “river of air”. Mucho rain if it stalls as expected!
