This new video shows exactly how the Moon will look to us on Earth during the entire year of 2013. While the Moon always keeps the same face to us, its not exactly the same face. Because of the tilt in its axis and shape of its orbit, we see the Moon from slightly different angles over the course of a month, and the year. Normally, we dont see how the Moon wobbles in its orbit or as it moves closer and farther away from Earth. But seeing the entire year compressed down to 5 minutes, we can see the changes in libration, and axis tilt as well as the most noticeable changes, the Moons phases.

I was waiting in line at one of the office supply chains, the hired help was looking in back for some item I wanted (I think it was the Iomega 500 gb for Mac, it’s a beautiful drive, and tough as nails it turns out, I wish they’d kept making ‘em) and the geek in line behind me was carrying a hotspot in his pocket, and was using an iPod Touch (which is really just a small tablet computer, Apple tested the waters with that one IMHO) with VoIP software and a virtual phone keypad to have his business line on him at all times. Made a short story a little long, but basically, I’m sure what you’re trying is possible. I’ve been giving some thought to running a sort of in-house proxy server as a gateway, so the hotspot only knows about one device, and everything wired or otherwise would just be administered in the proxy. It has been working off a fast switch, but this morning I couldn’t connect, and didn’t have time to fiddle.
Just saw this....old but still worth the effort.
The Japan quaking audiolized....cool stuff!

Interesting....the weston observatory from Boston College has a quake forecast tool:

Most of the great quakes of New England and Canada were preceded by healty foreshocks so I assume that is pretty much the source of their calculations. Not very scientific for not all of the great quakes were warned by a forequake.
that is cool. i’ve listened to the volcano sounds also.
Yeah there is a classic one for Mt Redoubt that was a sound simililation of a classic harmonic tremor. If you haven’t heard it I will attach the link!

thanks, that one i hadn’t heard. i heard a BIG Island (HI) sound.
Whoa! Needs to be set to independent tones with tone generation frequencies based on location i.e., Close Encouters of the Third Kind.
Impossible just takes longer... ;)
LOl...well get to work!...lol
:)
I think on the comments there were those asking for the raw data or excel file....lol
Spoooooon!

Any resonance would stand out immediately and well worth the bit of extra programming just to see. Creating a new video out of it might be a bit of work for them.
Yeah that would work..!
Two leading theories in regards to Quake generation will be tested in California this weekend, heavy precip and lunar pull...lol
I heard about about that... Some kind of “river of air”. Mucho rain if it stalls as expected!
Interesting! Thanks for sharing.
Measuring snow by feet is always cool....inches not so much...well unless you are on SHastA!..lol
