Guys like Tesla, Westinghouse, Edison, Ford and other big name types from that area were all kinda eccentric in one way or the other...and many of them interconnected. Wouldn’t surprise me if a couple of them did.

Yes, expect some of them would be. I had this dream of becoming super rich once. I built a fortress-like house one mile square with a huge courtyard in the middle of course. :p

The top floor was empty and we rode bikes all around it...

Yeah, I’d be eccentric like that

I’d build a huge tower with a percentage sign on the side of it (Thus “1%”) and put a blowtorch broadcast tower atop it (TV and Radio) that played “Liberals suck!” 24/7...

The tower would be covered in LCD screens showing scenes of rich people oppressing OWS types in every form I could find. And I’d drive my Rolls with the fur interior and spotted owl feathered Landeau top through Brooklyn all day and night

Just cuz...cuz I have a dream too ;)

The Oliphaunts in the LOTR movie were in the book first. They didn’t get as much focus, but they were mentioned in the Battle for the Pelennor, as well as when Sam and Frodo saw them in Ithilien. They weren’t just added to the movie out of nowhere.

"Personally, I think Alexander had a trick to keep them alive when crossing the Alps. Possibly involving wine and small rodents. Just my theory."

Thus confirming the theory put forth by the Dali Lama that Richard Gere is the reincarnation of one of Alexander's military advisors.

He got the wine drinking down, but somehow the rodent placement went askew.

Note the ears—this is a large African Elephant. The Carthaginians and Sudanese learned to domesticate the African Elephant and with them gave fits to the Romans. We have lost the art of domesticating this breed of Elephant. If they could be used to help the people of Africa, as they have the peoples of Asia, it would go along way to preserving them. Today they are seen only as tourist attractions or producers of Ivory—and competitors for food. They will be driven to extinction unless they can be domesticated and used as—grass fueled tractors by man. PETA people might object to this but With the world the way it is it might be there only hope.

Probably. I wondered about the fact that there does not seem to be any sort of saddle for the man with the gun. The whole set-up does not look too stable.

If I was a wealthy woman, I would build a bumper car track. I love bumper cars, and, on my track, bumping would be encouraged.

I am generally rather gentle, and I hate confrontation, but, for some reason, I just love crashing those little cars

I wonder if you mean John Garand? It seems I remember seeing that somewhere but am not certain.
