Dr. Clark Wernecke says 2.6 million artifacts have been discovered at the Gault Site in Central Texas.
"That's just an unheard of quantity," said Wernecke.
What's also surprising, the artifacts suggest people must have arrived somewhere between 15,000 and 20,000 years ago.
Wernecke said, "So, much earlier than we had originally thought."
"Very slow going," added Wernecke. "Every object larger than a dime, we get its exact depth, with a laser...It goes on with a permanent maker on a tag in a little baggie, then all that information goes on the outside of the bag. Everything is done two or three times because we can't afford to lose any information."
The years of dedication to meticulous digging is finally paying off.

Texas has always been a popular destination.
It made sense to me, and I'm glad to see this data coming out.
There is a lot of evidence that points to previous advanced “modern” civilizations. Too bad it’s all been wiped clean. Who knows what troves of historic/designs/inventions were lost in the books at Alexandria, and Constantinople. Such waste. Humans could have died off at the peak of a civilization much like ours and we will never know.

Just checked the link I was going to post, but is not working - was basically just one guy doing the publishing, and he may have gone under.
There are a lot of artifacts in central Texas. There is an Indian burial ground on the land I inherited from my family. I want to keep it preserved as best as possible. My older sister couldn’t understand why I wanted that part until I took her there and showed it to her.
There are also a lot near Georgetown. They have some areas fenced off with razor wire on top. The Corps of Engineers were real smart. They have signs at all the parks on Lake Georgetown that state “It is illegal to pick up artifacts”. What a better way to advertise..
Our landfills will testify to our civilization for thousands of years.

Well I wish they would make up their mind!
Nat Geo years ago said artifacts on their cover were 20,000 years old! Then several years later admitted they were only 2,000 years old.
And a dig in So Cal showed artifacts that were supposed to be 10,000 years old. L S B Leakey visited the scene and declared them to be 100,000 years old.No one called him on it.
