Have a great day -- I'm parkin' it at home this fine cold Monday. I's not snowing, the accumulation doesn't look that bad, the plowman took care of the driveway so it's hard to tell, but the car isn't a foot-deep or anything like it. It's currently 2 above.

“The Changeling” is a season two episode of the original science fiction television series Star Trek, first broadcast on September 29, 1967 and repeated May 17, 1968. It is episode #32, production #37 and was written by John Meredyth Lucas, and directed by Marc Daniels (who was pictured on-screen as “Dr. Jackson Roykirk”[citation needed]). ...”
The crew of the USS Enterprise deals with an indestructible planet-destroying space probe. The plot contains similarities to the later 1979 Star Trek film.[1]
The USS Enterprise encounters a probe named Nomad. Although originally launched from Earth for peaceful exploration, after colliding with an alien probe it has reprogrammed itself to find and sterilize imperfection. The starship is unable to destroy the probe. Nomad, however, mistakes Enterprise Captain James T. Kirk for its creator, Jackson Roykirk, and allows itself to be brought aboard. After Nomad kills and injures several crew members, Kirk is able to convince the probe it is imperfect, as it mistook Kirk for Roykirk. Consistent with its altered programming the probe commences “sterilizing” (destroying) itself. The Enterprise crew safely transports Nomad into space before the latter explodes.”

I am an old-school Classic Trek Fan, so I am REALLY enjoying your postings, ETL!
I have a personal connection to Classic Trek...Leonard grew up in my Dorchester neighborhood, his Dad was a barber, and the Family went to Temple Mishkin T’Fillah where Spock picked up the Vulcan Salute on the High Holy Days. (It is based on the Priestly Blessing in Numbers (may The LORD Bless and Keep You).
Temple Mishkin T’Fillah later moved to Newton and the building was sold to the Alma Lewis School of Afro-American Arts. However, the Verse from Zechariah (”Not by Might, Not By power, But By My Spirit, says the LORD”) is still prominently carved into the side of the abandoned building.
William Shatner’s wife that died tragically in a swimming pool went to high school with my sister.
I remember watching the premier episode of the premier season.
Thanks for the memories! :-)

Interesting. I thought he was pretty good hosting the speculation documentary “In Search Of”, too.
