Having a beard makes you more employable (as long as you’re not a woman, probably).
One man’s quest to find out which variables would affect his ability to get a job has uncovered the surprising fact that when he was made older-looking by some facial hair, he received more replies.
Javier Sanz was trying to find work on an online marketplace called oDesk, a platform that allows jobseekers to find work they can do from home.
Javi found that prospective employers replied to 12 per cent of his applications when he was facial hair-free, but when a beard was added to his photo, his response rate jumped to 35 per cent.
He explained: ‘I look younger than my age. It won’t be the first time if I’m being asked me for my ID before buying some beers. I’m 26 years old but but my face says “I’m a teenager, don’t hire me cause I’m irresponsibely young”.
‘So, I looked for a way of giving a first responsible, image of guy who is going to get-work-done impression. Thanks we are in the Internet, and I didn’t need any surgery. Just a fake beard with Photoshop.

When mt daughter was about 2 years old I shaved my beard. She didn’t recognize me and started crying. That was the last time I shaved and she turned 45 last month.
Yeah, that Gabby....what a stud. I don’t know how Dale Evans could pick an ugly guy like Roy Rogers over Gabby Hayes. (snicker)

Cosmo in the 1970’s had as many pix of bare bosoms in it as Playboy. Couldn’t understand why a womens’ magazine would show that except to remind the female reader that this is what she was supposed to look like.

I used to work with a guy who was always somewhat of a skirt chaser. He really like to flirt with the young female talent where we worked. When he was clean shaven, he looked years younger than his age ( mid-forties). But he usually had a beard, and the beard had quite a bit of gray in it. I told him he’d look more appealing to the young babes he was always shining around if he’d shave his beard. He just gave me an evil mind-your-own-business look and walked away.
That’s a toilet brush in a suit.

Always thought Cosmo was stupid. The guys where I worked bought me that particular issue as a joke.
