44 years later, that car still looks awesome.

Timeless design.

Anyone these great ads?

They were placed on the busses and subways all over NYC way back when.

Even without considering the La Femme, some of the dealer lit for '55 and '56 was pretty heavy on scrupulously well groomed and elegant women posing behind the car, or their slender, manicured hands reaching out for the Dodge automatic transmission's tantalizing and oh-so-easy pushbuttons…

Chrysler products must have inspired this song:

Pushbutton Automobile--The Medallions (1956)

As far as flight decks and emergency medical procedures go; I’m glad you are among the best at what you do...as far as the Scriptures go, I absolutely to the death adore my Proverbs 33 wife. :-)

More like poor management. Think of how much more dynamic the car industry would be today if bad companies were allowed to go under.

Are “stupid capitalists” actually capitalists in sheep’s clothing?

So advertising went PC and now women are sexual doormats. What’s improved for women?

I learned to drive on a ‘55 Chevy Bel Air. Still love that car.

Had a gal friend a few years back who referred to them as “minor or major miracles”.

VW are sheep in captalists' clothing.

From the above:

Bernd Osterloh, who is the Volkswagen AG General and Group Works Council chairman, said that future investments in the South might be hurt if workers will not unionize, according to Reuters.

The comments come days after Volkswagen Chattanooga workers voted against representation by the United Auto Workers Union.

Herr Osterloh should check Chattanooga's longitude.

Speak for yourself

I’m not more tolerant and accepting

Overall we were far better off

I detest homosexuality and believe traditional families and gender roles work best

We are collapsing in front of our very eyes and we have a thread how we are more tolerant and accepting and that Mad Men....a gay written fantasy about rakish men and fast women..like most shit drama on TV today is an authority

That early episode with littering showed me the hipster fags and mandal chicks writing that drivel were not there

I was.

Any questions?

I tell all my friends that “you will know I am doing all right if you see me driving a ‘56 Chevy Bel Air that someone else has completely restored.”

I’m pretty sure that VW Europe is very strongly union. He’s probably getting a lot of pressure from the European union bosses to get the US plants unionized.

LOL. I saw one locally about a year ago that someone had restored (a business) that had the same paint scheme as the one my family had except it was a 4 door hardtop as opposed to our 2 door hardtop.
