Creme egg catastrophe: Unpopular new recipe sees Cadbury's Easter sales plunge by £10million
Daily Mail ^ | January 11, 2016 | SEAN POULTER

When Cadbury’s decided to change the recipe of its creme eggs last year, many fans were less than impressed.

Now the firm itself has been left with a nasty taste in its mouth after it was claimed that the move contributed to a £10million loss in sales last Easter - a fall of five per cent.

The company switched from using the famous Cadbury Dairy Milk for the shells to a similar alternative in what appeared an attempt to save money.

Didn’t they learn anything from the Schlitz family? It is taught in B-school.

I never cared for Cadbury’s. I will though, add Leaf Malted Milk Balls to the list of good things that have been degraded. They haven’t been the same since Herco bought them out - there’s almost no malt flavor.

Why do all my favorite brands go bad?

Land's End is all Eurotrash-leftist, promoting Gloria Steinem...Life is Good t-shirts are flimsy garbage. Now candy-1

The crack mini eggs are still the same. Mm, they go on half price sale tomorrow. I call them crack eggs because they may have crack cocaine in them. They are that addictive. I don’t like the goopy creme eggs. But the little crack eggs are It.

You’re a purist. :) I have to have 70% cacao or I have to cook in my own sweetener.

Check out this recipe, it may suite your diet and substitute the coconut milk with half and half if it works for you:

Hershey’s tastes so bad I won’t eat it.

The only “fake chocolate” I can tolerate is the thin strip around the milk duds. Otherwise just no.

Last time I had a Cadbury egg, it had the taste of gritty sugar suspended in artificial chocolate flavoring for the shell, and gritty sugar suspended in smooth sugar creme for the interior.
About 6 months ago, I had KFC in California. I ordered the grilled chicken. It had a strong chemical taste - they are either reusing oil or they are using synthetic oil. It was not edible. Threw it away, never again.

In high school (now THAT was a long time ago) an instructor told us that if you watch commercials, you would discover that they are actually advertising the faults of the product. Some examples: For hairspray, the entire commercial was dedicated to repeating over and over that the product left hair soft, touchable, and had no odor. In fact, consumers complained the product smelled like some kind of solvent and it left their hair hard and crisp. SO the advertisers had taken complaints and began “educating” the public that the opposite was true (lying about it, using hypnotic repetition).

For chocolate, the instructor pointed the the commercial of the day for Hershey’s which repeated over and over “Hershey’s, the last real chocolate.” The instructor pointed out that Hershey’s had been a holdout for awhile, after all other chocolate companies had begun adding paraffin to their product, Hershey’s had held the line and not added wax...until about a month or two before the “new” commercials came. In the weeks after caving in and adding paraffin to their product, Hershey’s developed and released a series of commercials, each of which repeated over and over “Hershey’s, the last real chocolate.” It’s embarrassing that manufacturers find it more constructive to just make commercials to “teach us” we’re wrong about their products rather than fixing their products. It means lying works as well if not better than producing an honest product!

All the mayonaise comapanies have switched to offering soy oil in place of vegetable or olive oil in their products. Soy oil becomes rancid within weeks of production an the rancid odor is removed by industrial deodorizing processes. Hence the labels on mayo usually stress “Real Mayonnaise”.

MBA think strikes again. There is much more to a good product than a bottom line. See the film “Coca Cola Kid”.

Insp. Praline: Am I right in thinking there's a real frog in here?
Mr. Milton: Yes. A little one.
Insp. Praline: What sort of frog?
Mr. Milton: A dead frog.

Saving that recipe. I love dairy (raw usually) but I do make a good coconut chia pudding and this Mexican chocolate one sounds pretty good! I might have to add a bit of honey or something.

Indeed. Their chicken is now cooked in “healthy” oil with no trans fats. At least it’s healthy according to the lifestyle Nazis.

Real people are not supposed to pay attention to the fact that the chicken tastes bad and turns into rubber when allowed to cool.

Oh, and now it is bad for your health!

New Coke was marketing genius. Coke increased sales by over 1.5%. This amounts to gazillions of dollars. Most people don’t know this.

KFC should cook their chicken in lard.

And Oreos are now inedible because they have high fructose corn syrup in them.
