I think it’s quite likely They both taped each other.
Trump does not have tapes either I think. He said Comey better hope their are no tapes. He did not say there were tapes I believe.

The first meeting was at Comey’s request at Trump Tower. I don’t know what particular area he met President Trump in. Hopefully it wasn’t their living quarters, and who knows if the SS would have bothered frisking him, or asking him to empty his pockets. Comey’s a slimeball. I wouldn’t put anything past him. He could have even planted something.
Trump should learn you can’t BS when it comes to serious issues...now he has to backtrack on the tapes and it makes him look foolish.

I assume the Obamists had Trump surveilled around the clock. So the tapes probably exist though they may not be in loyal hands.
But if Trump assumed he was being taped, he may well have arranged to tape also. So, I’m betting Trump’s people have those tapes.

I have already said this. I believed that was what Trump meant in his tweet. “You better hope there is no tape.”
That is why Comey woke up in the cold sweat and dashed off his “memo” to professor what’s-his-foot, at Columbia, who incidentally is out of pocket for the time being. Imagine that?
Trump was alluding to the endless wiretapping by the FBI that may very well still been in operation inside the white house at that period. It was early in the transition. The FBI was doing full transcripts of TRUMP conversations with foreign leaders.
Did Comey forget that the joint was still bugged when he was doing dinner at 6 with the president, or when he was “trapped alone” with the president in the Oval Office? So, did Trump do a sweep and discover he had struck gold with Comey’s own weapons?

Good point, and convincing point. I thought the same thing when I was listening to the attorney. He left no room for doubt.
Really, Trump did Comey a mercy when he warned him there might be tapes. You'd think he would have been more careful in his testimony. He was pretty careful, but still he messed up. If there are tapes, he is well and truly cooked.
I am betting Trump has the Montgomery tapes.
Montgomery has production immunity.
No reason not to believe Montgomery, with some dollars and hardware, continued to demonstrate his surveillance software remains capable of tapping everyone’s communications
