The Association of German Criminal Officers (BDK) has spoken out in favor of ending the ban on cannabis, and has called for the decriminalization of all use of the drug.
“The prohibition of cannabis has historically been seen as arbitrary and has not yet been implemented in an intelligent and effective manner,” the head of BDK, André Schulz, told Bild newspaper on Monday.
“In the history of mankind, there has never been a society without the use of drugs; this is something that has to be accepted,” he added. “My prediction is cannabis will not be banned for long in Germany.”
The BDK, therefore, advocates a “complete decriminalization of cannabis use,” Schulz said, adding that the current legal system is stigmatizing people and promoting criminal careers. …

Germany: perhaps as wise a move as ending Prohibition was in the USA.
Mmm, no. Make the populace doped so that they don’t object to the Mohammadan invasion.

“Victimless crimes” are a perversion of the rule of law.
But no knives over 6cms and no guns and no bows and arrows and no slingshots.

The idea that if you solve crime, by making crime illegal is a fallacy. You simply embolden the bad guys, they become more brazen. Seen it with my own two eyes here in Western Washington State.
If you cater to criminals, you get MORE criminal behavior, not less.
I’m convinced that the drug cabals are very active now in politics and doling out money to the candidates in the billions. Southern USA democrats are probably OWNED by the drug cartels of Latin America. This is why we see these relaxed drug laws and efforts for open borders. It’s about “business”.
Cannabis marketing is outpacing the scientific research, but there is a growing medical consensus that it is unhealthy for human brains lungs, and livers.
If we lived in a society where health care costs were less “collectivized” then I’d have less of a problem with people abusing themselves (I’d still oppose it but not through statutes).

It’s hard for me to gauge this because everything I read about Germany strikes me as coming from some alternative universe.
If the citizens of Germany want legal cannabis great.
If the citizens of German don’t want legal cannabis, that’s great too.
This “article” is so all over the place who knows what’s really the mood on this issue in Germany lol.

There’s a growing medical consensus that it’s a very effective and safe substitute for a whole lot of nasty expensive pharmaceuticals.
Hard to argue it should be illegal for collective-cost reasons when things like male homosexuality and heavy pharmaceutical habits are legal. Cannabis wouldn’t even be on the top 100 list for ways Americans harm themselves, and most of what would be on that list is perfectly legal. Go down this route and you have a nanny state government prohibiting everything that is not mandatory.
A stoned German population accepts Islamic culture easier than one on amphetamines.
