Xavier Collin/Image Press Agency/SIPA USA/AP Images This is the winter of discontent for Hollywood workers, as no level of seniority has been spared from the wave of mass layoffs.
Warner Bros. has been shaken by two rounds of layoffs and a wholesale restructuring that have ushered out veterans with decades of service to the Hollywood studio.
NBCUniversal has rewired the structure of its TV content production and distribution operations, leading to hundreds of job cuts. ViacomCBS has periodically shed bodies by the dozens in the year since its two halves formally tied the knot again in December 2019. AMC Networks last week disclosed it will let go of 10% of its U.S. workforce, or about 100 staffers.

Its so good to see hollywood in turmoil.
Watching the woke go broke is one of life’s great joys.
When they are on the street begging for food, tell them they can take their “white privilege” and eat that.
Nobody wants to go to the cinema. COVID was the death blow for an already dying medium.
Oh, the tragedy. Sad... these traitors did it to themselves. Get woke, go broke.
Biden becomes the President-elect, and Hollywood has mass layoffs.
Dont forget that sequence of events Hollywood-its Science!

Hollywood in 10 easy steps
I look at all of this as good news. It is an object lesson in what happens when businesses alienate half of their customers by choosing a side politically. Nobody could be faulted for subtle messaging but it has become blatant and obvious. And you don’t need to alienate half of your customers when 20% can be the margin of profitability.
Personally I haven’t been to a movie in 8 months but I totally am not buying the movies I have missed for streaming. Streaming really is no substitute for the movie theater experience. Another mistake media companies are making is interpreting stupid pandemic measures for actual social trends. There are some people who are genuinely afraid of Covid but most of everyone else wants to go back to normal, and not that new normal that they are talking about all the time.
Hollywood Hates America
America dumps Hollywood!!
Gotta love it.
Wow that’s tragic
Since Hollywood abandoned Judeao-Christian ethics America has discovered that it takes morals to write a morality play. Hollywood has degenerated into the literary equivalent of comic books and now they are even screwing that up.
Streaming may cut overhead but it will not create content. The destruction will be epic and is inevitable. A reprobate mind is a terminal condition.
Like Sharon Stone in “Casino”.
The Hollywood studios have been living off China $$$ for more than a decade now, seriously. Reports said Studios could sell more into the Asian markets than in domestic markets. Film projects could be low grade shoot’em-ups, action thrillers, mostly special effects with little dialogue. Story telling art deteriorated, revenues from Asian markets filled the gap.
Then many ‘celebrities’ were obligated to follow the China-Studio party line. Explains why they are so leftist sick today.
Too bad, so sad. Let them eat cake.
So how many (wannabe) actresses are going to be sliding into online porn and reaping the money themselves?
Will Amazon Pantry be delivering $13 boxes of popcorn and a $12 Coke with crushed ice?
